  1. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...irm+Torres+sale Atletico Madrid have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sell Fernando Torres to Liverpool after the Spanish international passed his medical on Merseyside. Torres will now return to his home country to bid goodbye to his fans in the Spanish capital, before travelling back to England to be presented as Liverpool's record signing in a deal worth a reported £26.5million. "Club Atletico de Madrid has reached an agreement with Liverpool Football Club for the sale of Fernando Torres to the British club," read a statement on the Spanish club's website. "The player, accompanied by Don Enrique Cerezo and Jesus Garcia Pitarch, will hold a farewell press conference on Wednesday 4 July." Liverpool have also confirmed that Torres passed all the necessary medical tests during his trip to England on Tuesday. "The player has passed a medical," confirmed a club spokesman. "All the agreements are now in place and he will put pen to paper on the deal on Wednesday." Rafa Benitez has targeted Torres as a key recruit as he looks to mount a challenge for the Premier League title next season, and the substantial outlay on the striker nicknamed 'El Nino' is certainly a prominent signal of intent on the part of the Anfield boss. Torres is expected to sign a six-year contract worth around £90,000 per week upon joining the five-time European Cup winners, and his arrival will likely increase speculation regarding the futures of Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch. Manchester City have been linked with a move for Crouch with former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson set to take charge at Eastlands, but Liverpool have played down speculation that the fans' favourite could be sold. Chief executive Rick Parry insists the unique striker remains very much a key player at Anfield. "It is not true that he is the only player not to have been approached about a new deal and he is very much part of Rafa Benitez's future plans," stated Parry. Luis Garcia has already been moved out of Anfield to help accommodate Torres, joining Atletico in a £4million deal on Tuesday.
  2. Does anyone have any actual transfer news/speculation/rumors to report?...or are we just gonna keep on b**ching about what everyone has got to say about our money, rift etc etc etc situation, its just getting really realllllly boring listening to the same rubbish everyday...
  3. 5. Pocks his nose and eats his bogie (when on the subs bench against TNS) Regardless he isint going anywhere..dudek's on his way out, padelli's gone, leaving us with Reina and Carson. 2 quailty young keepers in my opinion, especially as keepers dont tend to come of age till there older.

    Voronin

So as much as we'd all like another striker at anfield, we already have one done deal in Andriy Voronin. He played for Ukraine in their qualifier Vs France which Ukraine lost 2-0. didnt get a chance to watch the match but from what ive read from the match reports he didnt really get involved a lot, but apparently the commentators were saying he's a stong player that likes to drift out onto the wings...hmmm Kuty like?..i dont know..I dont think it'll be to much of a problem for Voronin to adjust to the premiership, coming from the Ukraine and plying your trade in Germany, you need to be able to handle yourself and hard working.Maybe Rafa's is looking for Kuyt to be his goal scorer and bringing in Voronin to do all the hard work which he does, but then do we really need two similar players of this type? 5. At the airport on my return flight Arsen Wenger (wanted to cheekily ask him if he wanted Pennant back), Andy Gray (recognised his big head) and i spoke to Gary Mac about the match, his plans for coming to liverpool as a coach and rafas plans for the summer..oh and he let me take a picture with him.
  6. I just got back from Athens and i cant believe how s**t we were treated!! what a joke from the organisers uefa and the greek official and police! i only just got into the ground 20 minutes before the match..from the airport liverpool fans wernt allowed to take the metro we were told we had to take the bus. the bus driver dropped us off at a random rail station and told us to go down there, it was left to us to work out where we were going. we could have been at the ground in 20 minutes from there but were made to go the long route round, it took us an hour and a half for a journey that should have been no more then 40 minutes!! Once we got to the ground it was just a joke, 4 different check points to be searched and for our tickets to be checked not that they done much. i was 50 yards or so away from the entrance to the ground along with hundreds, even thousands of liverpool fans before being stopped by police standing between 2 buses, as soon as they let a couple of fans through we all just made a break for it. I got to the entrance and found 3 police officers saying it was full and we couldnt go in, arguing with 3 other fans, they didnt even take any notice of me, i really hope these guys got in and didnt get hurt because they had genuine tickets from what i could see. Luckily a fellow red standing behind the police grabbed my arm and pulled me in and said 'get in lad just go' (thanks mate i dont know if you'll remember me but i appreciate it!!). Once i got into the ground there were just people all over the place standing everywhere and anywhere, i asked a steward where my seat was, he said 'i dont no, go and find it' i couldnt believe it if he doesnt no then who the f**k does! I got to my seat in the end and theres several empty seats all around me..wtf! This crap needs to be sorted out, we cant do anything about what happened last night now, but for future finals! well done Platini, way to organise your first Champions league final!!
