Suarez is leaving for footballing reasons, and the attempt to pass it off as media-driven is a bit clumsy. He'll have been told by someone (his agent, no doubt) to do it, but it's still a bit dense. Ultimately I don't really care what he says. It's up to the club to a) tell Suarez to hand in a transfer request and b) tell Madrid to pay £53M (or whatever) and that's that. If they refuse to pay, he doesn't move. If he complains, you tell him that Real know what we want for him and if they're not prepared it then he should take it up with them. Can't really blame for leaving though, he's 26 and has barely played in the Champions League. He's a brilliant, world class player and expecting him to stay with a team who haven't finished higher than sixth in five years is a bit much.
