I absolutely concur.

This team is sooo in need of a shake up. The bar is set so low right now. Players congratulating themselves after a completely abysmal showing. BR surely saying "Well done" to the players after coming up short again. There is no sense of urgency, no leadership, no direction. This is just sad.

Considering the lack of movement in the transfer market regarding strikers, the timely buy of Benteke looks better every day. Maybe they didn't rate him, maybe they were hesitant because of the price tag. But it would be a big boost for us if ManU, Arsenal and Spurs can't land their targets before the transfer window shuts.

Maybe a little off topic, but it still gives some insight into the dealings of Henry, Werner & Co: Link After claiming in summer that the current GM of the Boston Red Sox "would be the team's manager for a loing time", they just signed a new President of Baseball Operations (Dave Dombrowski) when he suddenly became available. If we endure a miserable season like the Red Sox currently do, they won't shy away from making decisions if the opportunity arises.

Halftime. Benteke had a great chance saved by the Swindon GK after being teed up by Firmino. Firmino plays centrally just behind Benteke. Markovic wasted two big chances in frustrating fashion (one shot skied to the corner flag, one hit into the hands of the Swindon GK from a few yards out). Can plays well in a midfield role and had some good runs with the ball.

Sakho treated like a (Hot) dog again. First ordered to work at Subways, then playing against a pub team. Pretty sure he's livid as a cut snake.

The big question is - would Lacazette be able to record some goals while playing the whole 90 mins?

All things concerend, this is IMHO the best team to start the season: Mignolet - Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno - Lucas, Milner, Henderson - Coutinho, Firminho, Best striker available I wish I there was room for Lallana and Markovic in the team, but I can't see it right now. The obvious candidate to be replaced by a better player is Lucas. With Can, Henderson and Milner all starting, the area around the center circle would be too crowded, so I left Can out. Firmino as a false no. 9 alongside Coutinho and Lallana? Not so sure.

30 mio + Lambert seems realistic. Can't see Borini or Enrique going there. Althoug stranger things have happened (Cissokho).
