I don't mind Downing to be honest.Rafa likes his possiblities and he would be replacing Kewell.We only have Babel(Maybe Yossi too) now as an option for the LW and he will offer something different to Babel and Yossi.Think Rafa is just trying to get his squad players now before June with what we have(Crouch,Pennant,Carson,Finnan,Riise).He might splash cash later on (if DIC comes in or if we indeed have 30mn kitty apart from money from sales).At the moment we could do with a wide right attacking forward and we could be splashing on that position.
