Can I just point something out In all of this conjecture one thing has not been mentioned and that is a few weeks ago, Owen stated he had talks with 3 or 4 Premier League clubs We now know one of those is Newcastle We also know that yesterday Owen stated his desire to join Liverpool, and only Liverpool on a full time deal. So I think we can take it as red that during whatever negotiations that took place Liverpool have indicated a willingness too buy him for the right price. If this wasnt the case there is no way he would jeapordise a future move to other clubs by publically stating his desire to join us.
