I understand this view but it is essentially what people were saying about not signing another centre half in the summer after VVD fell through, and that turned out pretty well. I think the boss and the other recruiters have earned the right to say no to second or third choices even if that means sticking with what we have for longer than is ideal. There's even the possibility that Karius will come out of all this better and more resilient.
