  1. Luis Fabiano?
  2. Bit of a devil's advocate question...someone asked me about it today and I didn't have a clear answer. Are any of you uncomfortable with the Chinese government owning LFC for moral reasons? I don't think I need to explain the Communism side of things etc...
  3. Aguero. Plus, I recall him saying he was a Red before Atletico signed him up, Atletico need the money too.
  4. when we had the U20 tourney here in Canada, Capel was the best player here IMO. Was excellent against Brazil, tireless and clever (albeit running into blind alleys at times). Been a fan since.
  5. unleash Kuyt against Barnsley up top, hopefully he'll get a goal or two, could be all he needs to get on a roll (if it's to happen). Come on Dirk, would love to see you pick it up again and do well for us.
  6. I'm just saying they're despicable c*nts and if Kuyt was doing what we saw of him in Holland and banging in goals I'd be made up. I like seeing the good guys win. That said, I like seeing us win more, and if Kuyt isn't doing the job then he's gotta go.
  7. Well said. In this world of showpony footballers and cheats (Placcy, granny shagger, Drogba) it's good to see a genuine hard worker like Kuyt out there. I'm gutted he hasn't worked out this season, if he was scoring goals and playing well he's the kind of player I'd want my kid to look up to.
  8. A bit off-topic, I just figured an anagram. Momo Sissoko = So-so, Momo is ok. ...sign Mascherano!

    Gerrard

completely agree, I'm astonished more UK-based players don't try their hand in the Serie A or La Liga.
  10. Even in the pic of him in the top right corner of this site he looks like he's moving out of the way of a shot. Classic.
  11. if we're going to sign Torres he has to grow the mullet back. MORE MULLETS!
  12. Looks likely to be the Library Square Public House (it's a pub, the name will fool you though), all the Reds will be there and not the Lennox.
  13. keep an eye on www.lfcvancouver.com and info will be posted there.
  14. another thing is the consistency in the team...not one of ours have gotten away without at least a couple of stinker games this season but virtually all our players have shown their class at some point. Zenden? MOM against Brum, excellent in Charity Shield. Pennant? Great against Reading (Carling Cup), MOM in the Haifa game. One week a player gets stick, the next it's praise, I've noticed it in the forums over the last couple months. It makes it torturous as a supporter watching the team right now, you really don't know if good or bad versions of the players are going to show up...most worrying is that includes the main players (Gerrard, Carra, Alonso, etc). I haven't seen more than 2-3 games this season where every one of our 'main players' (for lack of a term) have played well. Our team's spine isn't even consistent, and that's the first thing we need to get sorted. And I'm talking about our play more than our results, even at home we haven't always convinced.
  15. I don't get why we don't play Crouch away. I'm not going to slag Bellamy/Fowler with Kuyt or anything, I just thought Benitez solved the away problems last season with the purchase of Crouch and sure enough, with Crouch upfront we were doing a LOT better in our away games and Crouch was a prime reason. So why suddenly not play Crouch, especially with us not keeping the ball on the floor as much away (which suits Bellamy a lot better)? I don't think Crouch upfront is the only solution, think it's a loss of form and consistency overall but Crouch upfront for away games seems a clear step 1 to me.
  16. if Momo's injured and we need a replacement, bring back IGOR!
  17. Will the pennants have 5 and 2 stars, respectively?
  18. that #17's been diving all bloody game
  19. time for a Gonzalez winner...
  20. way too predictible, the BBurn players are just waiting for it to come to Crouch in the box...some bumbling in our defence as well. Looks like two seasons of heroics have got Carra knackered, don't know how to explain the defence otherwise.
  21. that might've been Aurelio's worst day at the office, defensively, that I've seen. Nearly all of Gala's attacks came from that side. Relieved with the win, now on to Bolton away...
  22. he's missed one game in 5 years! ...oh, and he came up from non-league football through sheer will and hard work. You can't not love that. In a non-gay way.
  23. my fave was how the commentary was mute when the first two goals crashed in, like Pleat was in mourning and couldn't bear it. The second goal, before the replay, Pleat said "watch Gerrard here"...and went quiet when he realized Luis got the assist instead...or maybe he was praising the England man for not getting in the play. Pleat tends to really pat the Brits on the back a bit much for my liking.
  24. Let's fecking batter those Geordies! pepe carra sami agger finnan warnock (who played excellently at wingback against these last season) Gerrard Alonso Gonzalez Kuyt Crouch Bellamy subs: Dudek, Aurelio, God, Garcia, Sissoko.
