  1. I don't really agree with that. But I am not saying I am better than the manager anyway, not sure why someone brought it up. So do I. Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson (or Allen), should be able to control the midfield. Don't see why we'd be thinking of playing Henderson in the front three.
  2. What a pointless argument. I am happy with Rodgers as manager. I am fully behind him. I am entitled to my opinion if I feel he gets something wrong. Not saying I should be manager or he shouldn't, everyone gets things wrong. If we win with that XI I will hold my hands up and say I got it wrong and Rodgers was right. But I think that is the wrong XI to pick, I don't see what's wrong saying that. Just because someone is our manager doesn't mean they always make the right decisions and know better than us. Otherwise we'd still have Hodgson in the job.
  3. I got your point, I thought it was irrelevant. It is obvious if Webb does something Rodgers or the team can't control then I won't have a problem. I am more concerned about Rodgers getting things right he can control, like the team selections, who he signs etc.
  4. WTF? Who said I knew more than Rodgers. I just have an opinion, like everyone else on here. Everyone criticised Hodgson and our other managers for decisions they made, I see no reason why I can't question some of Rodgers tactics if I think they are wrong. Now I know why I don't come on here often. Ah some sense.
  5. No. I said I'd be furious if we lost and picked that cautious team. I'd be delighted if we won, regardless of who we picked, I just don't think we will with that XI. I think we'd have a great chance if we picked Sturridge for the reaosns I gave earlier. I don't like insulting people. I find it pathetic just because you have a different opinion you have to do so. I thought I had to include it as sometimes so people only listen ti insults, which is sad. You should be able to have an opinion and debate without insulting each other, we all want what is best for LFC at the end of the day.
  6. I said I'd love to be wrong. So that's not true. I hope we win. But if he selects that XI, I don't think we will and won't have given ourselves the best chance to do so. I don't see what is wrong with saying that, it is my opinion. c**k! (swearing isn't big or clever Swan Red)
  7. OK well we'll see if I'm right then! No I think you should read my posts again before jumping to conclusions. I said if that is the team and we lose, I will blame Rodgers as I think he'll have got the tactics wrong and I have explained why. I also said I'd love to be loved wrong. If you only listen to swear words - f*** off! Not sure if he is in the squad or not, but he was training with the rest of the United players today.
  8. Yeah I guess that will be his plan. Too risky IMO and it will cost us.
  9. Yes because I want to beat them. Furious, pissed off, disappointed... doesn't matter what term. I want to see us give our best chance of doing that. I hate seeing side go to Old Trafford and play into their hands. They are s*** at the back, let's punish that area. But if we sit back, leaving Suarez isolated and invite them to attack, there will only be one winner IMO, with their attack and our defensive record.
  10. If Sahin goes, I'd like to see us get Moussa Sissoko, he'd give us some bite and make us more physical in midfield.
  11. I'm fully behind the manager. But in this one game, I would think he will have got it wrong, if that is the approach he goes with.
  12. Of course, because IMO I am right. I am entitled to have my opinion. But I'd love to be proven wrong and us to do well if that is the XI. I just doubt that will occur, as I think tactically we are playing right into their hands.
  13. It is a fear not a complaint! I will be furious with Rodgers if I am right though - as I thought he was more bold than that! I hope that XI is wrong and I hope my opinion is as well. I think our best chance at beating them is having our best attacking players and pace, who can hurt them especially on the counter attack. That means Sturridge and Sterling for me to help Suarez.
  14. I hope he does. I fear the game will be over by the time he comes on, like last season with Carroll. That XI is defensive, cautious and plays right into United's hands. Typical and bloody frustrating that we don't give ourselves the best chance of winning! They'll be delighted with that XI. I hope I'm wrong!
  15. He's had a weeks training since then. I'd rather 60 minutes of Sturridge, than 30 minutes off the bench at the end. The match might be over by then!
  16. Here are the training pics. My link Looks like the team will be judging by the bibs (and this has been accurate for most of the season) - Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Lucas, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Downing, Suarez. I think it is a big mistake not starting Sturridge. Sturridge gives us a threat on the counter attack, and we know how well that worked when Torres destroyed Vidic on the counter attack. Vidic hates pace and Sturridge would test him. It would also give Suarez some support. Last season we played United with Suarez upfront on his own at Old Trafford and he was isolated, didnt get a kick and they bossed the match. It wasn't until they were 2-0 up and in the last 20 minutes we brought on Carroll, Suarez had support and we were then the better side and nearly snatched a draw. We have to attack them and I hope that isn't the team, but I think it will be. It isalso not fair on Henderson if he is asked to play wide right or left int he front three. He has been doing really well in centre midfield.
  17. I think it will be Sturridge or Walcott. Possibly both!
  18. He was at fault for the Chelsea goal though. Gulasci stood out for me.
  19. It is a top for Sterling, can never have too much protection.
  20. Shelvey as well.
  21. Maybe he doesn't want to sign another? It is not like we have shown him any sign we rate him highly. Sterling was training witht he first team at the end of last season, he hasn't even been called up for the under 19s for England (although god knows why). suso has been played constantly in the reserves. I wouldn't blame him if he left next year if we don't give him progression, like some Europe League games. Ince got frustrated and went to Blackpool and is thriving. Suso might prefer first team football at another club than playing inour reserves, where frankly the level is poor and they don't play enough games.
  22. I think he only has 1 year left on his deal. Which is a worry. Spain are on now on Eurosport 2, Suso starting again.
  23. Hard to turn water into wine in Downing's case.
  24. Well we'll have to agree to disagree.
  25. I think that is a factor as well. He looks to be still growing physically.
