7.5/10 for me. Mignolet is a really good signing so far. Toure has improved our defense. We've got cover at left back in Cissokho. Sakho I think has the potential to be a top class centre back and make an instant impact. Alberto is a promising youngster. Aspas look a good player. Moses is an upgrade on Downing. I just wish we got some competition for Lucas, if he gets injured I think we might struggle as no one can do the job he does, unless to put someone like Toure in DM, but I think he's needed at the back. A star attacking signing would have been nice, but not essential, we already have three star match winners at the club.

FSG might get some stick for not spending as much as people might like, but you can't argue that the squad has improve dramatically since they have been here. They inherited some awful players - Konchesky, Soto (who I quite liked but still wasn't the level we wanted), Jovanovic, Joe Cole, Aquilani, Degen, Ngog, Poulsen...

We've got two now with Toure and him. Agger needs to watch out and up his game or he could be on the bench soon.

Ideally, but I'm sure Chelsea don't want to do that. Especially after they sold Sturridge to us and he thrived, doubt they want to get their fingers burnt again. If Moses helps us get top four then it won't be an issue, we'll thank him for what he did and can then hopefully get a better player once we can attract Champs League football.

The BBC have an article saying his agent says Suarez wants to leave - but there are no quotes. Suarez has only ever praised the club. I think he'd like to go to Real, but then again so would nearly everyone of our other players - doesn't mean it is going to happen.

Yes I agree. I still think Henderson should play in the tougher games. He has the energy which can really help Gerrard / Lucas control matches and press the opposition when we don't have the ball. But not only that he was actually very effective in attack, I saw some stats somewhere that last season in the league he was one of the most productive players (in terms of goals / assists) in the league per game (with Lampard being the top).

Which is weird. Didn't we get an offer of £3 million last summer? Since then he has gone on loan and been Bolton's best player. He's been linked with Wigan in the window. I think we should be looking for more from him, he is a good player.

Not much, but from what I have seen he looks very raw. Very quick, tall, an athlete. But still has a lot to learn. Wisdom is more ready for the first team. We should reject that. He should go for £3 million.

I have seen a lot of Wisdom at centre back, for LFC under 21s and England under 21s.

I rate Wisdom higher than him anyway.

I'm not sure about the centre backs. Depends if we get an offer for Skrtel, if not he'll probably stay as he is still a good defender. I can see at least one centre back coming with Coates probably leaving and Wisdom going on loan. If Skrtel goes, then I agree we'll bring in two. But one will probably be a younger prospect like Ilori. Nice to see we have funds before selling Suarez bidding for Mkhitaryan. I'm not too bothered about missing out on this deal as I personally think Coutinho should be our number 10 next season and would rather spend the funds we have on wide players. If Suarez goes then we probably need another striker as well, as I wouldn't fancy Borini to lead the line if Sturridge gets injured (although we also have Aspas).

I am happy with the signings so far. Mignolet should provide good competition for Reina. If we do get an offer from Barca, then we already have his replacement. If not then we should have a good battle for number 1 spot - competition should get Reina back to his best which is what everyone wants. If he doesn't then Mignolet could take his spot. Toure I think is a great little signing. Mainly what he will offer on the pitch. I think he'll be first choice alongside Agger and he should be the perfect partner as he is strong, still has some pace, good on the ball and in the air - which was a really problem last season. We couldn't cope with big, strong strikers like Lukaku or Benteke, Toure won't get bullied by them. Shrewd buy! Aspas should be an upgrade on Downing (which wouldn't be hard). He might not be the biggest name, but he has shown in a top league he can be very effective (like Michu did before Swansea signed him). He also looks to suit the brand of football we want to play as he can get goals and assists, being skillful on the ball. I have seen comparisons with Bellamy and watching him they appear valid, he is is like Bellamy he will improve our first team. Alberto looks very talented. He might not be good enough for Barca, but that doesn't mean he can't make an impact for us. He can play a few positions and like Aspas seems to be able to create and score goals. Certainly worth a punt. We've bought these players at basically a zero net spent, given the sales we got for Carroll and others. The Suarez transfer issue needs to be solved. Whether he goes or not Rodgers needs to know to plan the new season. We've got to sit down with Suarez (and his agent), telling them if he wants to go to Real they have to meet our price (£50 million minimum IMO) and the deal has be done by a certain date - otherwise he is staying here. We can't let it drag on all summer. Until we know what is happening with Suarez it is hard to plan what else we need. I personally think we need wide players (whether he stays or goes), as we have threats who like to play central in Sturridge, Suarez and Coutinho.

I think we really should look at when we were best last season and that was having Coutinho in behind Sturridge and then we build the team round that. That means getting two quality wide players with the funds from Suarez. Maybe some competition for Sturridge as well.

I said we needed to play Sturridge, when he was on the field we were the better side. I said I was happier with the team selected than the one I thought was going to be chosen. Allen should not have played over Henderson. Sturridge was needed and should have started. We were too cautious in the first half and it cost us. Rodgers needs to learn from this!

It was exactly as I predicted. Our manager f***ed it up today. Dalglish did the same last season, too cautious and the performances were almost identical.

Well as I predicted, Suarez is isolated - we are playing into United's hands and our manager got the team selection wrong. Get Allen off, get Downing off. Bring on Sturridge and either Henderson or Shelvey.

OK the bib theory was wrong and I am delighted that we didn't pick that team which I thought we would. Happier with that side selected, although I would have picked Sturridge and Sterling. Think we have a good chance, as without Rooney they do lack some of their usual threat. Hope we're still in the game when we do bring Sturridge on, if so then we can win.

Agreed. If we struggle with injuries then Coady gets a chance or we recall Spearing. Wait till the summer.
