Well good then, one less player we can slate when he has a s**** game......

Have not seen the match yet and from reading some of the posts I may not be able to stomach it but wanted to know how he looked and whether or not he's woth what they were asking?

Loved every minute of that.............

Now that is funny.........always get a kick out of people who get their feelings hurt on a internet forum, how anyone can take anything personally with the anonymity that a forum provides is beyond me........long live the clique of people I don't and will never know.........
-
...and of course had that been one of our players flying in on one of his he would have been calling for someones head the t*** that he is......he makes Fat Sam sound logical with some of his drivel...

Interesting performance by the Captain today
ShaunOfTheRed replied to aka Dus's topic in Liverpool FC
Another name to add to the quiet list would be Xabi, both he and Stevie were quietly effective. -
Was hard to tell on the telly but if there was contact it was minimal......

Momo.......all he needs is a goal at the moment....
ShaunOfTheRed replied to ShaunOfTheRed's topic in Liverpool FC
I think his ability to get to balls that look "out of reach" is an amazing attribute and shows his pure athletic ability. He has no hesitation to go to the ground to try and make a tackle on the ball. His workrate is absolutely amazing and he has a motor that just won't quit. His signing was quite a coup for the Club and it makes it all that much better that Rafa was able to sneak in and steal him from the the Blue s****. -
.......and I think we will see what else the lad has to offer. I thought he had a cracking game today and was all over the place. People talk about Stevie's motor but I think Momo could easily run him off the pitch. He is already showing his worth and at such a young age he could well turn out to be one of the best signings Liverpool have made in quite some time. His play almost made Xabi invisible today.

"But the arrival of Robbie Fowler from the bench just signalled more misery for Ferguson's side - and the man who revels in waving five fingers at United fans to signify the number of Liverpool's European Cup triumphs, finished off their 11-match Premiership unbeaten run in injury-time. There have been some pretty significant lows in this season for United, notably the Champions League losses to Lille and Benfica - but few to rank alongside this debacle" Made me laugh out loud!

Those guys are complete tools to say the least and the bar keep....well, don't get me started!

"I can see for miles and miles.............I can see for miles and miles..........."

Hopefully it's not as bad as that Fox Football Friday show they air. What a bunch of utter drivel that show is................

So you'd be happy paying more than what a player is worth in the eyes of the Club? All I am trying to say is that there is time left to get players in, Rafa knows it and so do the clubs that have his targets under contract. No reason to have fit because the MANCS have decided to pay more than necessary. I guess for them it was the right price, obviously Rafa has his ideas and will stick by them. If it makes you happy fair enough.
-
If by trouble you mean not being held ransom for a transfer fee higher than the value the Club puts on a player I would agree. It's only been 10 days, have some patience. It's not like there have been a plethora of signings as of yet. There is still plenty of time to conclude a deal and it's my bet that clubs are just posturing at the moment trying to get the best fee for their players.
-
Fair enough and cheers mate. I am speaking about the chatter on this forum and others about Ged's supposed failure. It's was upsetting to me that some fans had such a knee jerk reaction to his failure to capatalise on the success the club had during the treble season. I may be a "blind" supporter of the club but I believe that Ged put us in a very good position and only had the best interests of Liverool Football Club when he made the signings after the last World Cup.

I think this is an old quote originally said when Stevie ended the speculation about him going to Chelsea by pledging his future to Liverpool. Still a cracking quote.................

I haven't the time or concern to see what "they" are saying about their side or manager. He may find that form again but I believe it will be next season when he is trying to guide them to promotion because they are shockingly bad at the moment and more than likely will be relegated. Relative to what? Agreed it was a great season for "them". If you compare that to what the squad and manager did during the treble season to what "they" did last season I think you are doing them a disservice. That doesn't compare in any shape or form. I think I know what you are saying and have stated in my oringinal post that I may be overreacting but I just get a little peeved at supposed fans aiming negative statements towards Ged. The man had one bad season due to some shocking transfer decisions, other than that he was brilliant. His nurturing of Stevie G and the support he showed for Owen should never be forgotten along with the silverware he brought into the tropht cabinet. If you really look at the current squad you can see his fingerprints all over the place.

Is it me or is the media opinion of Liverpool FC
ShaunOfTheRed replied to Bootle Buck's topic in Liverpool FC
I'd rather we "fly under the radar" for awhile longer, fack the media and the silly opinions they spout out. They are all a bunch of glory hunters hunters on the end. -
It's really unfortunate that some fans view Houller in this light, he did so much for this club and yet gets little to no respect from some. Moyes has done nothing for his club but guide them to a top 4 finish last seaon and to compare him to Ged is ludicrous to say the least. I may be overreacting to this but it's more an accumilation of negativity towards him that gets me going. He did more for this club than most fans give him credit for and to me it's painful to read statements like this. He needs and deserves respect for his accompishments while in charge and to belittle him byt comparing Moyes is abhorrent. Take a moment to think back to the "Treble" season.................'nuff said.

I really hope he stays because he is making progress under Rafa's watch and could be a cracking player if he continues to progress as he seems to be. Ashame really that he lost so much time last season with his injury, imagine where he could be right now had he not lost that time.

I'd take a handful.
