Who cares about Capello - seriously - International football is in the past - hopefully Gerrard is taking the correct approach and taking it handy after getting injured after every useless England friendly! Don't care is it's with Spain, Ireland, Scotland whoever - international football should be kept to the Olympics and a summer part time competition! Kelly for Liverpool and no one else!

Dead ball? - With Carroll on board we should be a lot more handy dealing with dead balls - he's great in the air! Still need some one to dominate the air in defence a and a bit more bite about midfield (maybe suarez can help by dropping back pardon the pun). Doubt Johnson will stay at left back so we still need someone to take that position and maybe Johnson will be the supply from the midfield.

Pure class from Rafa. I'm sure he has a million things to be thinking about with the impending move to Milan but to do this on the first day back is sheer class. -
If soto hadn't been sent off earlier in the season he would have been still first choice. Fair play to him for still being able to put in that performance.

Exhibit A would include Aurelio as probably first choice after great periods of play last year. Riise was gash in his last few seasons and Insua is as good going forward as Riise and as bad defending at the moment. Insua is being targeted and doesn't have the cover at the minute that babel is providing and also aerially that we're missing since hyypia left.
