This point is quite important for me. I would love to just do a Football Manager and get rid of some of the deadwood and replace them with top signings in each position we need to improve. But unfortunately, we are not the only team out there looking to improve. Also, the whole Teixeira thing has shown that other clubs really don't have to sell to us if they don't want to. So instead of diving into a complete overhaul and buying players for the sake of filling positions, I feel we should concentrate on buying some actual quality players that we can actually get instead of going on a massive spending spree and just end up with more of the same. We might not be able to fill every position we need to, but at least we can be sure that the players we do get will actually do the job we need them to do and sort us out for a while...
