  1. Anne Williams is fighting a battle to get a proper inquest in to her son's death: "Kevin Williams died in the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, Kevin's Inquests were riddled with corruption, suppressing of vital evidence and perverting the course of JUSTICE, Kevin did not die from Traumatic Asphyxia or in an accident I will not pick up his death certificate until we get the course of death put right and the accidental death verdict struck down. Kevin does not relate to the 3.15pm cut off point.I want a new inquest where all the witnesses will be called to give evidence so the jury will know exactly what happened to Kevin at Hillsborough. I have all the evidence under section 13 of the coroners act and have been refused 3 times by the attorney generals office, I want the Attorney General to look at the evidence again and send Kevin's case back to the divisional court recommending a new inquest into the death of my son." http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/19149 Don't forget to confirm the email. If Anne gets this it will open everything up and every Red needs to get behind this. She is a great woman and after meeting her I will do all I can to help her cause. Please pass on via twitter and facebook. Many thanks Chris

  3. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-n...00252-21539674/ Liverpool fans' fury Carlsberg forces u-turn Aug 15 2008 by Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo 1 2 next » CARLSBERG today scrapped a promotion with The Sun newspaper after a furious backlash from Liverpool fans. The Danish brewer had planned to link up with the tabloid newspaper to give readers a free pint over this month’s bank holiday weekend. But the move was met with derision from some Liverpool fans, who were angry the club’s shirt sponsor was working with a newspaper hated by many in Merseyside. Reds’ supporters still boycott The Sun because of its coverage of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 Liverpool fans died. Carlsberg were today holding emergency talks ahead of a formal decision to axe the promotion. Fans’ groups had written to Anfield officials asking for their thoughts on the decision, suggesting Carlsberg’s sponsorship of the club is reviewed. A spokesman for supporters union The Spirit Of Shankly said: “Carlsberg could have made a more careful choice. “Lots of people were saying they should not sponsor us if they are doing things like this. “There is no bigger issue for most Liverpool fans than Hillsborough and The Sun, and sensitivity was called for.” The Carlsberg offer would have been made through vouchers printed in The Sunwhich were to be exchanged for a free pint in 13,000 pubs over the bank holiday weekend. Liverpool fans bombarded beer trade website The Publican with reaction to the Carlsberg deal, many describing it as “insensitive”. Ben wrote: “Lost for words. There’s no way on God’s earth I’ll ever buy that stuff again.” Leopold wrote: “Disgusting! LFC should sever all connections with Carlsberg after this, utter disrespect for the 96 and the loyal fans who actively campaign against that rag mag!” The Sun provoked controversy when it carried a front page story making false claims about the behaviour of Liverpool supporters at Hillsborough. Despite an apology, many Liverpool fans have never forgiven the paper. A Carlsberg spokesman said: “We are quite aware there has been mistake and we are very sorry about this. We are doing all we can to repair the damage.”

  5. I know the person/manager who is in charge of the supporters clubs and she works in the ticket office.
  6. Just checked and there are tickets available for sunday but you need 2 aways from 2005/06 season. They were sold out.
  7. 19,000 KOP
  8. 12 fan cards 3 tickets, I'm not going. Looks like a 1 in 4 chance.
  9. This has happened a lot of late, but don't worry as i deal with the ticket office manager for supporters branch tickets, you will be issued a duplicate ticket, I know its happened to me a few times. Some of my tickets have turned up days after the games been played.
  10. They also said that you can have you share/shares back with cancelled on it so you won't lose the bit of paper saying that you once owned a peice of the club
  11. Rafa: Rick wheres your tie?
  12. Takeover of Liverpool 'imminent' Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry says he expects the club's takeover by Dubai International Capital to be completed "relatively quickly". "A huge amount of work has been going on, we'll have something to say soon," he told BBC Five Live's Sportsweek. "Yes, the deal is looking positive and yes, I'm confident it will go through. This will take us to the next level. "But it's not a quick fix, a rich man's plaything. It's a long-term model for success, based around the new stadium." DIC, the investment arm of Dubai's government, has been in talks with the Anfield club for the past six weeks about a possible buy-out. We may sign players before the transfer window shuts. We are working hard on a few things Chief executive Rick Parry Parry says the time the group has spent at the club has been beneficial to both parties. "Over the past month or so they have had a team of people here, working around the clock," added Parry. "They have been on a real learning curve because football is slightly different to the other businesses they might be involved in. "It helps that most of the key people we've been dealing with are Liverpool supporters so they know what we're all about. "It's now a case of finalising the due diligence and pulling everything together, which we hope will be completed relatively quickly." Meanwhile, Parry says Liverpool are in talks about adding to their squad in the January transfer window after two humiliating cup defeats by Arsenal last week. "You have to have priorities and ours are to invest in the first team, which we have done with substantial sums in the past three years," said Parry. "We may sign players before the transfer widow shuts. "We are working hard on a few things at the moment and we will reveal everything once it is all sorted out." Parry also confirmed that manager Rafael Benitez turned down the chance to join Real Madrid last summer because of his commitment to the Reds. "In the summer Rafa rejected the chance to move to Real, which was a big, big temptation for him," revealed Parry. "It was all pretty serious. Real is his club, he was there as a player and as a coach too and it would always be an opportunity he would have to consider. "But he enjoys being at Liverpool and he believed in the direction we are taking and he is passionate about that too."
  13. They did a great job and the Kop was back to its best, My ears were ringing for hours after the game, I was in block 203 With tears in my eyes singing justice for the 96.
  14. I wouldn't mind arsenal away as can get tickets in cup away games but none in the league.
  15. I'm going, won't be there until 6ish though.
