I dont want Rodgers sacked, but I am very worried as I see us making the same f**king mistakes week after week. And blaming FSG is maybe right too, but he doesnt help himself when he seems reluctent to use the 10m striker he bought in the summer and called him a very exciting payer, or that the midfielder he didnt stop praising since he bought him for 15m looks poor. very poor. thats 25m he spent in the summer that if we didnt spend them we wouldnt be any worse. not to mention 3m for Assaidi who didnt even get on the flight for Russia from what i understand and basically he is no more of a LFC player then the young Danish keeper we have on trial. As I said, I dont want him sacked and he should be given another season, but but Im losing faith in him. It doesnt look like he learns from his mistakes week after week so I have doubts he will learn over the summer.

amazing how such an avarage team is already cruising for the league and get a result in madrid. and the ball always, always drops for them.
-
ok, but my point is that we arent taking our chances, and we create more chances then the opposition usually, and concede from almost every decent (and not decent) chance against us. I know we are not clinical enough, but why? we create good chances. mentally, we are very poor. this is all.

I say we deserved to win monday. we deserved t to win against city, we deserved to win against the mancs at home.. Im talking about games that we were better, created more good chances, controlled the game.. maybe you can switch "deserve" to "should" on the balance of what goes on on the pitch.
-
we constantly dont get the result we deserve. many times when we deserve to win, we draw. when we deserve to draw, we lose. I struggle to think of games we won that we didnt deserve to. our mentality is very poor. has been for years now.

no chance. good news on Kelly. Now Carra announced his retiring, I would love to see Kelly given a chance as a CB. He can do a job as a FB, but for me he is a CB.
-
the problem for me is that he is a striker, but he very rarely played in that position. he isnt very skillful on the ball so expecting him to play on the wide positions isnt going to bring out the best of him. He has very good movement off the ball and works very hard, he is a poacher. I think its very very soon to write him off.

Wilshere is a world-class talent. Shelvey is a good talent. we need to give him time. He has strength, very good technique when striking a ball, good vision and good movement. I agree about the need for a top CM though. It wont be Wilshere, he will end up at the mancs in a few years time. Henderson is two years older and a lot more experienced I think in the EPL. How would you compare Shelvey to Cleverly who is 3 years older and a lot more experienced? he seems to be doing well for them and playes for england, and I dont see anything special there.

but why would Bayern sell him?

and scoring on his debut!! :-) no but on a serious note, I dont get why people are so happy with downing all of a sudden. true, he isnt as awful as he was, but he is still not really doing anything other then working harder. I just feel he set the bar so low, that every game he isnt complete s**t then it is recieved as a good game.

Couldnt have said it better myself.

the fact he is still better then how carson and kirkland and sander were doesnt mean much.. the mistake today on its own isnt a big deal. but he is making way too many mistakes in the last 3 years. And yes, Cech looked finished and now looks back to his best, but who says Pepe will be back also? also Cech had the excuse of his bad injury. who knows what happend to Pepe.. Pepe is one of my favourate players but I think GK is going to be a priority for us in the summer and rightly so. as much as I would hate to see him leave.

that was some performance from him today. I never doubted he will get goals, but his all round play today was amazing. the way he gets himself a yard of space with quick turns is impressive, and he took the right decision pretty much every time. its early days, but he looks like a great signing and that he just needed the manager to really believe in him to show what a good player he is.
-
Its good to see him starting to realise his potential. I like him and everything we hear say he is very proffessional and a very hard trainer. still has a way to go and he needs to add goals to his game (he has it in him, he has a good technique when striking the ball and he has good movement into the box from deep), but it looks like he is getting there.

I think we need a dominant CB. Since Sami left, we are very poor in the air. We dont have any player who is good in the air. not even one. every set-piece is a header on goal and has been the case fo a long time. In addition, I think our center mids are a problem. Lucas so far doesnt even remotely resembels the player he was before the injury. Stevie is having a good season, but doesnt have the energy anymore. those two cant keep up with pacey players and we can see since the season started that we fail to cope with opp players making runs from deep in the center. Yesterday Wilshere (what a talent he is) just ran rings around them. Lucas and Stevie ran out of steam in the second half and that meant our CBs had no support. they basicaly were our first line of defence (the CBs) and that invites pressure. Gerrard can still make a few good bursts of pace (like he did late on to stop Walcott) but he cant do it for 90 minutes. thats just not his game anymore. Lucas was never fast, but Im worried he lost even more pace with that injury. so far since he came back he looked very poor IMO. I really hope he will get back to his top form as I like him, but I have doubts. Think we will need a DM in the summer.

I wouldnt say "very very good" but thought he was the best out there and the only one who I cant really fault today. was playing all alone in the center.
-
If we have that offer for him we need to take it. I have never been impressed with him, but the most worrying thing today was he was getting owned phisicaly. Its one thing he lacks pace or rusty in decision making or with the ball, but with his size he really needs to cope for strength at least. I mean if not that, than what is his good attributes?
-
Very excited about this one. Although I havent seen him play too much, I have known about him for years. Was very highly rated as a kid in Brazil. I know he hasnt fulfiled his potential yet, but if he does he will be one hell of a player. Quick, skilful, creative. And thats a great price. Also good to see Brendan seems very happy with the owners and the rest of the crew.
-
He was ok, he isnt good enough and on massive wages. having an ok/decent game once in a while just isnt good enough. he just set the bar so low, that when he has an ok game people are happy with him.
-
was a good game. I always liked Norwich.. Hendo had a good game and a great goal. Sturridge makes us much more threatening and looks like he and Suarez really enjoy playing with each other. Lucas had his best game since coming back and Stevie was MOM with a great game. everyone else were solid but I still think downing is s**t, and shouldnt be anywhere near the starting lineup.
-
well thats a s**t lineup.
-
or maybe we are spending it all wrong again.. hopefully you are right.
