Im fuming. How can Agueros ninja kick didnt warrent any punishment yet Suarez deserves more then 3 games ban. Players in this league get 3 games ban for really violent acts (Fellaini). When Defoe bit Masch, the fa didnt feel it was violent enough to punish him more then a red card so they didnt use "exceptional circumstances". Im outraged by the sheer outrage of the mdia about everything Suarez does. Im not even asking to give him a pass (If the refferee didnt see it then why did he speak to Luis and Ivanovic (who should him the so called marks), but to be judged fairly. we are just too stupid. this is why we make so many mistakes in defence, this is why we make so many bad desicions near the oppositions box (yes I know we score plenty, but still). Suarez had his worst game for us I think. But he just kept on trying instead of trying to play the simple ball. I guess that him for better or for worse, today wasnt good enough, usually f**king brilliant. Thought Suso should have come on at half time for Henderson. Todays game wasnt the kind to bring out the best from him as they parked the bus and didnt really try to get forward. Suso is in good form for the under21 and the type of player who can split open a packed defence with a pass or a dribble. GJ, why the f**k does he keep on cutting inside instead of offering the overlap when the player infront of him is also cutting in (sturridge)?? also, did I imagine it or did DS played as our playmaker late on? very frustrating. Dont think he has much pace (he isnt slow). But he also isnt a sure starter and also one player with pace and energy there isnt enough as Lucas and Stevie lacks the pace (Lucas) and the energy (Stevie).

Where is Coutinho and Lucas? Because I dont see them relegated to the bench.. Athletic because we lack pace in that area IMO. Lucas was never a fast one, but he looks even less so since his injury. If im honest I think he doesnt look good at all and I worry about him. Xabi is briliant, but we need someone who can cover a lot of ground in short amount of time IMO. If we aim to play attacking football, and the midfielders push forward, once the opposition gets past our midfield then our midfielders are "out of the game". this is something that we see all season. We lack the pace and energy in those areas to recover.

I also struggle to see where Xabi and Erikssen fit in our team. Erikssen plays in the middle, and that will mean Suarez will play as the forward, but that leaves DS on the bench. And Gerrard is now playing the "Xabi role". none of those players will like being a "squad player". Also dont think Erikssen and Xabi are players in roles that are priorities for us. We nee 2 CBs, an athletic DM and then a RW. But I would LOVE Xabi back.

To me there is definite progress. Maybe not as much as we would have liked, but there is. Im excited to see who we will bring in the summer, our attacking play looks good, we are very attack minded (too much at times but in the long run I firmly believe "he who dares wins" in this league). There are still concerns, but overall I think we are on the right track.
