I think I would be more at peace with it if the contract situations were sorted. But with the uncertainty now about what our squad will be next season, the quarter final draw opening up nicely and us being able to rotate in April we may not have a better chance to win both the European Cup and PL in one season.

Forwards in the league I’d have rather had this season: Watkins Joao Pedro Nkunku (think he’s really good and Chelsea are ruining him like they did with Salah. Apparently transfer committee wanted him over Darwin initially) Haaland Marmoush Solanke Bowen Cunha Isak Mateta

Annoying as we’ve seen our penalties be a lot better in recent years (Chelsea Carabao and FA Cup finals spring to mind)

I think just changing Darwin for a genuine 70m forward who is reliable and scores goals changes the whole feel of the forward line. I wouldn’t change the others this summer given there’s other work to do to the squad

I think it was difficult for the subs - we needed to press as a unit but half of the team were barely running

Didn’t help we only had a young centre back to put on at right back (although he did very well in the circumstances)

It’s hard to have a really strong league season and win the European Cup Only team to get over 90 points and win the CL is us in 2019 Only sides to get over 90 points and get to the final are us in 2022 and United in 09 Let’s go win the league cup and get 97 points

I don’t think he was as bad as the reaction but his bad games are more obvious with him than say Darwin as his level is usually so much higher. It is probably fitness/injury related but part of our problem is Salah apart all of our forwards can have big dips in form. Happened at the end of last season and happening again at the moment

After watching them against City I knew this was going to be one of the hardest games we could get which makes it frustrating that we did the hard work in winning over there

Well that hurts this morning. You can lose these big games by fine margins but we had the lead going into the home leg. Genuinely didn’t expect us to go out after last week and didn’t think it’d get as far as penalties

Maybe this contributes to England getting 4 rather than 5 CL spots which then hopefully means City miss out on the CL and won’t be a threat next season Arne Slot, you’ve done it again. Genius.

True although we could still end up on something like 94 points which would mean only a handful of teams have done better than us in the league

One of our best ever teams in 2020 had a very similar game against Atletico and this PSG team are a lot better than them. Anyway would have been boring if Slot completed football in his first season here, we need something left to the imagination for next season He didn’t rotate at Feyenoord. I just don’t think it’s his thing so don’t expect it to change

Good player. Am probably being harsh but don’t think he’s a killer when it counts though and wouldn’t have put him third for a pen. That one on one against Palace last season comes to mind

He’s got no better over his time here and after backing him for two seasons I’ll be relieved to not have to watch him any more When he’s not on his game, some of his general play is shocking

We’ll never know as we didn’t really use it I’ve got no idea if Chiesa is a good player or not

Doubt he’s fit for Sunday so doesn’t actually really matter now, Bradley is probably back for April
