    I expected Dudek to make a big mistake, Palletta to look s****, someone to slate him, someone to stick up for him saying he's young in a foreign country, someone to complain about the performance and others to ask what they expected with the team we put out.     It would be impossible to keep them all happy, Crouch probably feels he isn't playing enough games as it is - that's without a top class striker and another player who would expect to get his fair share of games unlike Fowler.

    I don't know about that - after winning a 'quadruple' I can't see Mourinho, Terry and Lampard hanging around too long. It would be the beginning of the end. Plus Mancs winning anything is bad. As it stands our previous three year trophy haul is better than theirs - I'd hate for that to change.

    We've missed him big time. This year through Pennant we've had a supply of crosses from the right whilst we haven't had a consistent threat from the left. After the Arsenal game at Anfield Aurelio's performance gave us hope but now that hope lies in Harry Kewell. Having genuinely good crossers of the ball on both flanks next season will improve us hugely.

    I also like the look of Alonso/Mascherano. It's unfortunate for Momo that whilst we look good with any 2 of the other 3, unless he and Mascherano start to blossom his only true partnership seems to be with Xabi. Rafa seems reluctant to pair Gerrard and Momo. On a general note we're looking damn good for options in centre mid, the only sore point being the lack of goal threat.

    Let's not forget the tail end of last season which despite being relatively meaningless brought us 9 straight league victories. Obviously with no potential CL win at the end of the season, we would be pushing for the maximum possible points total. Not a good enough reason but one that's understandable. Next season will be different.

    With Aurelio out we need a source of decent crossing from the left. This comes at the right time. Fingers crossed eh.
