Tbf once we needed to score you saw us go up a few gears. Think the two leg thing played a part in not really going for it. Would be very surprised if we’re not in the final.
I’d go as close to the team that won there last time as possible. Tottenham won’t change the way they play and we can get it all sorted in the first leg then rest on the weekend.
Only positive today is we don’t have prime City to compete with. As it is we’re still on course for 92 points which should be more than enough.
Forest game is massive to get the momentum back but beating Spurs on the way would help.
They played Eriksen and Casemiro in midfield against Newcastle and started Ugarte and Mainoo against us. Disappointed we didn’t have more control especially at 2-1, we just needed to be calm and stop pushing our right back all the way into a number 10 position.
The misplaced pass in the 94th minute then holding Amad’s shirt for half an hour by our corner flag. Our weak links are both at full back which is really sad given what they’ve done for us.
It’s struck me that in trying to win the league this last few years we’ve come up against three of the darkest, most evil entities ever seen on the planet.
Covid, Mother Nature and Manchester City.
Brentford had 8 players out, others returning from injury and 3 defeats in their last 5. Would have been some going from Arsenal not to win there, although it was inches from happening.
We just need to do our job and it’s all irrelevant anyway.
