    I think this would be a major factor. An SD and the gaffer need to be on the same page, else one of them leaves and depending on the relationship the SD has with the senior management it might end up being the manager. I think Klopp is slowly building the club from a footballing perspective, he may not be the CEO on paper but is behaving like the leader we need on that front.

    Agree with this. I still think that replacing Ayre as Chief Exec between Gordon and Edwards might not be enough. Am sure Gordon has other responsibilities too, we need a CEO who is 100% dedicated to the club.

    Surprised he is only at that much tbh, he should already be our top earner. Can't see how Milner, Henderson and Stur can earn higher. We better set this right and double his wages asap.

    We should give him a new deal for sure. However, this could go down the Suarez path if he wishes to move on anyways, we should ensure that the new contract does the below: 1. Make him the highest paid player at the club 2. Add a massive get out clause so that if Barca wants him, they pay the going rate, which should be upwards of 100m for me If we end this season strongly and make it to the CL, I think we can see him staying to continue the work with Klopp.
