We need some decent pace out wide and have done for some time. With the exception of Torres, Gerrard and in some cases Babel, we have no-one that can make a swift, incisive counter attack. When Torres is not in the side we seem to attack in slow motion.

Mentioned it briefly in the other thread, Steven Defour from Standard Liege?? Rumours are indicating the blue half are in for him.

I remember watching Standard Liege a season or so ago and Steven Defour played very well. He seems to be a solid enough player but good enough to fill Xabis boots, I dont know.

Sheikh Maktoum and DIC head Sameer Al Ansari have been approached by intermediaries offering several Premier League clubs, but they have told them all they are buying Liverpool. Thats a bit harsh isnt it??

I think that house has been up for sale for some time as I have seen it posted before either on this forum or elsewhere. Cant remember when the payslip issue was but it was definitely up for sale well before Christmas. As you say, it may mean nothing at all.

Similar scenario to yourself mate. Had a fixed dish for ART a year ago but had a motor fitted last August when Digitalb got the contract. Well worth the money.

Luton away could be deemed as a potential FA cup banana skin but come on, that was dire!! I feel for the supporters who have travelled to watch that game. We were shocking. I really dont know what is going on with Liverpool FC at the moment. We seem to be going backwards at great speed.

Was flicking between West Ham, Spurs and Chav games for most of the second half. Every time i changed channels I missed a goal!! Its always the same. Will definitely be trying the same thing tomorrow afternoon!! Come on the bitters!!

Agree Voronin was poor today but no worse than Babel, JAR or Yossi when he came on. We were lucky today and really need to step up a gear or two. The 'team' looked a bit of a shambles after Sami left the field. Considering the size of our squad, it shouldnt be happening.

Due to the number of complaints to BBC and OFCOM, it was discussed on the Roger Philips show today on Radio Merseyside. Unfortunatelty, I only caught the very end of it. As was pointed out on the radio, Eastenders is a fictional show with fictional characters. Why have the BBC chosen to use factual events in the show, especially those as sensitive as Heysel and Hillsborough?? Lazy script writing or not, it is very strange.

Voronin is a great player in my opinion and I am sure in the opinion of many others. Thought he had another good game today and was very unlucky not to be on the scoresheet.

Have we not spent enough to cover these positions? We are simply not good enough. Lucas and Torres aside, looking at Arsenal and Man Ure it seems our purchasing of potential players is not good as theirs. We need to step up a notch and get to these players first. I hate to say it but Arsenal and Man Ure are are ahead of us now and will be for the future unless something changes.
