granted it may be b****x. The club should take tougher stance on player sales and stop being the nice guy all the time. When we want players from other teams they more often hike the price like heck but when it comes to our players, they always get the 'fair' value out of the valuations. 23m is hardly going to find you another Xabi and in my eyes he belong to the top bracket of centre mid and values him 35mil and above. Time to push our weight around on this and let him complete his contract otherwise ala Mon with Barry. But if we succumbed to player/external pressure to sell any of our players on the average/cheap we might as well stop thinking of being the pinnacle of football. Between 23 and 35 is another player that could be a game changer and also contributing factor between winning the league or just being able to keep a close gap on the champion. Far too much we've been 'bullied' in the transfer market eg the likes of simao, alves, owengate, Barry and lots more. We had no 'fair' chance when we were there and abouts. I'm sick of these really.
