  1. after Leicester...nothing is impossible lol...just a matter of getting the right people in the optimal setup and repeat
  2. fingers crossed still for a new left back..i think we wouldn't go amissed getting Ricardo Rodríguez frm wolfsburg..can defend and attack steadily well not to mention ..he is also good in the air
  3. not that we've not seen manure sign big names before...it is NEVER a guarantee still...just see how a lot of their big names faltered. Moaninho isn't exactly the best manager of egoistic players...we could see his track records in chavski and Real...besides..he often settle of the 'safe'/retarding football as opposed to the expansive attacking team...chavski eventually broke and their stars no longer bought into his dramas in the last season he was there..Hazard rejuvenated only when he left.. It goes to show how important getting the right manager and players..as Klopp said it..we are in this all together. It will be funny to see Ibra start sulking, pogba start hiding again and Mikhi becomes the mouse again. I rather we have big-heart players than big names...people we know will fight and work till the end for the club. lol start paying a player 300k and we have the whole team sulking and itching for more pay..throwing toys otta pram if we do not concede to their demands like sterling$. c'mon....at least be pragmatic fans ffs
  4. I genuinely feel our not-so-exciting-non-big-names signings will surprise a lot of people this season....heck if manure wants to throw money here and there..we are not them nor do I think we should aspire to be like them. At the end of the day it is how the manager intelligently use the players he has at his disposal and with his brand of edge-of the-seat football. ffs stop talking about net spend ...there are a lot of 'hidden' cost..wages has to be paid..agents need their premiums and scouts do not work for peanuts..club's operations need money too and so far the owners been trying to run the club is a good sensible and sustainable manner..far cry from the dark G & H days. 2 centre halfs brought in and potentially an upgrade from Skrt and Kolo we let go, giant grujic and GiGi coming in...possibly an upgrade to Allen or Lucas(if he goes too). Mane ...another possible upgrade to Lallana with his pace and power runs or to replace Markovis if he doesn't make the cut. Karius in place of Mig..now that is 1 big concern we sorted too. not easy to clear out deadweights but we are already chipping through them healthily in pace. maybe, have a sneak through the transfer window update...compared to most the other teams, we are already making good, healthy headway into our transfers. Can 's best position base on last season seems to be the holding mid and we have Lucas and Stewart to cover that position if anything happen to him so it is not that bad...also based on the statements we can read from Klopp, he wants the midfielders to adopt playing box-to-box. Finally before the window shut, signing a new LB would be the icing on the cake but I certainly hope not just anyone for the sake of it...it better be the right kind of players rather than panic buy and getting the wrong ones.
  5. darn! Wijnaldum only in his 1st season in a sinking ship(team) and has shown enuff that he has bright sparks albeit no 1 person can play to cover for a whole team crappiness...people can be very critical...imho he has done well beyond expectations and everytime I saw him play, wished we were in for him instead of the barcodes....tbh i rather see him play in the team instead of henderson and milner or even lallana...
  6. Allen Stewart firmino
  7. I'd rather he get suspension/fine with no pay throughout his ban period but in no way should his contract be cancelled..he can sit it out till we can sell him on to recoup any money we could from buying him in the first place..
  8. from what i'd seen so far...there is too much "me, me" than "us, all"....so if I am klopp I'd rather the sum of its parts than the former....fine if everything goes well with goals and we win but not when crucial moments hinge on teamwork rather than individuality. that is what I see stands out in origi and ings before him...they work their socks off for the team....studge was looming nearer to benteke-ism and now it gets worse...he lost his pace/acceleration...his fastest sprint atm seems like a jog to everyone else
  9. Here we go again..1st leg away to Villareal. best situation to be
  10. origi stewart moreno
  11. one word for his performance in the game- Imperious...I do not understand the impatience with him..he has the build, still very young and still getting to terms with a new league and certainly an unfinished product...I recall midfield generals often hit their primes in late 25/26/27. I would sooner be more worried over players we have that is already abt 26 and above and not performing to the acquired level
  12. i'd sooner have Sakho defending set-pieces and corners than Lovren..we have no one no even skrtl leaves me much confidence from those scenarios. Sakho passes ball to feet too rather than Lovren's aimless hoofs. Am I the only one seeing these?
  13. "As a newcomer, it's normal that there's a certain period of adaptation, but I have always believed in myself and haven't regretted making the move to Liverpool for a second," the 21-year-old told German publication 11Freunde (h/t ESPN FC) in June. He continued: "The Premier League is the best league in the world. At first that was a physical challenge to me, but after working in the gym on a regular basis, there are no players who can scare me anymore" Referencing his spell in defence under Rodgers, he said: "It can be a disadvantage, but it can help a young player as well. "I want to play as much as possible." Finally, and most importantly, he concluded: "At the moment I am content, but I'll be playing my best position soon, which is central midfield. The coach knows about it and sees it the same way I do." Clearly, both Can and Rodgers have a midfield role in mind for the German in 2015/16, and given his positive performances alongside the hardworking Kimmich this summer, he should flourish alongside the equally industrious Milner and Henderson at Liverpool. Can will be key to Liverpool's success in 2015/16, and this should be in a regular midfield role. looks like Rogers and him know where best for him to play
  14. Hamann hardly has acceleration galore but he gets up and about with timing and strength...I feel it comes with experience and Can has age n his side..getting him was literally a steal...just nothing like having a german engine in the heart of midfield...he just do not stop running even at 90 minutes
  15. we have to factor in too injuries/suspension...better well stocked than undermanned...the differences between them are minute but that subtle difference may suit certain type of game than another.no guarantee as yet if the new boys will settle right in as well..at least Lazar already had few games under his belt to know what to expect
  16. Just couldn't wait. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Benteke https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvDUh9sE6TQ Lots think he may not fit in but just looking at his track records in EPL, what more can we ask for. His goal scoring exploits are hardly flukes if he has been doing them year after year on.
  17. 6 losses in a row in the first few games and BR sacked, then comes Klopp and we will not drop a point since and ran our way to 1st. Dream stuffs but hey! Dare to Dream
  18. good good riddance. no one that messes with our beloved club deserves a look-in anymore. Pls move this asap to General Footie. even better if this thread is locked
  19. made up with his signing..what's not to like..A fullback that can defend and scored a scorcher too!
  20. did anyone really see how bad sterling played in the last 10 games? If it was Markovic he would've been dropped to the bench the game after but our manager seemed to try too hard to appease a player whose heart had gone...we were carrying 'passengers' in that vital 11 spot and that subtle difference could have secured us our CL place personally, I think Ibe would've made better efforts if he was given that spot...more end products. I rather we let sterling go now before he gets found out more. at this point of time..we are just basing on his potential, ...he is still very far from a finished article. what happens if we keep him? all is forgotten and we expect the same kind or workrate and efforts? willingness to keep his head down and learn and improve? I do not think so. Here we have a youngster who got too big for his head that he believes his own hype.
