  2. I tend to find a minutes applause more, can't think of the word - sort of moving, than a minutes silence. Ok, maybe the idea did come from some t***s in the crowd not obeying a minutes silence, but a minutes applause generally makes the the hair on my arms and neck stand up more than a minutes silence. You're appreciating a life, not mourning a life. Which is what some people want. I'm pretty sure Liverpool as a city could hold a minutes silence, however as this is an 11 year old boy it is more fitting to appreciate his life, rather than mourn it. As for the Z Cars, if it gives the family support then I'm all for it.
  3. RIP Kut Snr. YNWA
  4. SSN are saying that Tevez wants to move to Real Madrid, but Madrid have put no offer in for him... Damn I wish Monday would just come along so all these rumours would stop

    Gonzalez

I think that was just a rumour started on RAWK, everyone there jumped on the band wagon and it took off.
  6. 18,000,000.00 GBP = 26,780,742.36 EUR United Kingdom Pounds Euro 1 GBP = 1.48782 EUR 1 EUR = 0.672125 GBP
  7. You can request to be moved closer to your mates any way, so it's got nothing to do with that. The whole RTK campaign does smell of elitist fans looking down upon others - however, as others have said, i don't believe that was ever their intention. They just have a s**** publicist/who ever releases their 'statements'. As soon as the name Reclaim the Kop was born everyone assumed it was being reclaimed from OOT's (I hate that phrase), and they were never going to shake that off. Once it had set in to peoples heads it was always going to stay that way. The singing section in theory is a good idea, however I just believe it will create a divide between our own fans again. I believe a select few who manage to get a seat within the 1,892 avaliable will automatically feel greater than everyone else, believing they are a better fan. I don't know how to go about it, but I can just see this way causing problems rather than solving them.
  8. Who told you about this Jack? I wouldn't dismiss it straight away, not with the speculation in the Echo and the rest of the papers etc.. Does seem quite feasible..... Mr Makaveli, how can you be so certain that this is untrue, within the space of a few minutes of reading the post? The thread title is transfer speculation, and this is transfer speculation... What he posted could well have solid grounds. My advice? Pipe down and stop telling people what and what not to post.
  9. I liked him, it was the way his jokes are completely s*** that makes him funny.
  10. After all the stuff i've read on here it really does seem like uber bad planning on behalf of UEFA. Yes, the c**** who stole the tickets also need to have the blame - however the opportunity should never have been given to them by making fans hold their tickets above their heads. These tickets were worth than £1,000 and the stewards wanted them to hold them above their heads!? I still believe the majority of this could of been prevented with turnstiles, microchips in the tickets with your name printed, and a passport. That way people nicking the tickets wouldn't be able to get in, because their name is not on the ticket and they don't have the passport. Just pisses me off that UEFA can't see this.
  11. Equip the turnstiles with tazers - that'll make people think twice about buying fakes
  12. UEFA really need to sort themselves out, big time. I'm no expert on how to arrange a football match but there do seem to be a few basic points which would reduce alot of the trouble. You don't really hear of trouble at the FA cup finals etc... so why is it just in European countries? Surely UEFA can't put all the blame on us when we're quite capable of hosting our own massive finals with the same fans? In the World Cup the tickets had microchips in them saying if they're legit or not - obviously some one will find a way around this but it will be alot harder than it is to forge a hologram. As some one mentioned earlier, staggered times to get into the ground. Stops everyone piling up, makes everyone get into the ground early and adds an extra bit of time for safety etc. Proof of ID will help to stop ticket touts. If all games are in European countries, everyone will have a passport with them. Print their name on the ticket and on the chip, when you get to the turnstile you hand in your ticket with your passport, the person scans the chip - your name appears on screen, the steward checks the name with the passport + photo and away you go. As I said, I'm sure it's not perfect but it appears to be alot better than what happened
  13. Do you mean the lyrics for fields of anfield road? If you click more on youtube it shows you them... Here they are any way: Outside the Shankly Gates I heard a Kopite calling : Shankly they have taken you away But you left a great eleven Before you went to heaven Now it's glory round the Fields of Anfield Road. All round the Fields of Anfield Road Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play) We had Heighway on the wing We had dreams and songs to sing Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road Outside the Paisley Gates I heard a Kopite calling Paisley they have taken you away.. You led the great 11 Back in Rome in 77 And the redmen they are still playing the same way All round the Fields of Anfield Road Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play) We had Heighway on the wing We had dreams and songs to sing Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road. EDIT: I think I know what you mean, do you mean the bit they keep singing over and over? It's the bit in bold

  22. It'd be interesting tonight. If theres no violence between Mancs and Roma, then to me it's clear where the problem lies and where UEFA should take their action.
  23. Mate just shown me an interesting video of this clicky I don't know what happened outside the stadium, but from what I've seen here (looks like CCTV footage) it clearly shows the police being far too baton happy. For those who can't be bothered to click, basically Roma score, Roma charge the perspex. Man Utd see this, and charge the perspex. A few seconds later the hooligans italian police come running down, baton happy hitting any one on this side of the glass... Whether it's Man Utd or not, it's clearly wrong and shocking. For the good of English football and pride in English football team rivalries should be forgotten (in terms of this, domestically it's ok ), before we English get lumped with the blame, again. I'm not saying the mancs are completely innocent, they're probably not... I'll comment more when UEFA reveal what actions they're going to take (if any)...

  25. YNWR = You'll Never Walk Alone Resident? Where's the A? Silly Manc Any way, back to the topic. I can't understand how UEFA let Roma get away with this stuff. Seriously, if this was an England club we'd be banned from Europe for 5 years again. It really is disbelief. UEFA have said they're waiting to receive papers of some sort to launch an official investigation. My bet is Man UTD get fined - whether or not they actually instigated the whole thing... why? Because they have an English passport (if man UTD was a person, and not a thing) EDIT: Never mind, just read the above post to see they have launched one... This caught my eye though Seems like clear hatred towards the English to me...
