  1. Did it even hit the post? I thought it went wide? Wonder how much s*** Drogba will take in the aftermath - he was a nailed on penno taker
  2. Exactly my point. It had 'hero' written all over it, and he couldnt resist. Would Mourinho have let that happen? I strongly doubt it.
  3. It may be harsh, but I genuinely thought he had no place being there.
  4. Hid, or realised his limitations?
  5. Fair enough, but to have Terry take the 'all important' one was sheer lunacy. Terry has many fantastic talents, as he showed tonight. But that was never gonna be one of them.
  6. It's strange, because I thought someone so emotionally devoid, or to put it kindly, a cool head, would have no problems in that situation. I fully expected him to nail it.
  7. Whoever made the decision to send Terry up for the fifth penalty should frankly be shot. I strongly suspect the decision was his own, it had 'make me a hero' written all over it. If, with all the money that they have spent, 'JT' was the best out there, then someone needs to ask serious questions. Why the f*** Ballack wasnt kept back till the pressure penalties, I will never know. For reasons stated elsewhere, I started the match reluctantly hoping the Mancs would do it. For such a ridiculous piece of egotism, I can only laugh.
  8. Worth watching for that in itself.

  10. Ageed. Think he would be infuriating at the moment. but with a good manager, he would knock the selfish streak out and hone the raw talent that is clearly there. Bit of a playground footballer.
  11. I dont think it really changes anything either way.
  12. Yes, but I doubt the second would have happened had it not been for the first!
  13. I'm talking about Fabregas in Milan. 7 mins to go, the away goal that left them needing 2, it was game over no doubt. They needed 2 do come back, whereas you only needed one at Anfield.
  14. There was no doubt in the world at that time that that was the winning goal.
  15. Oh my God, just when you feel like giving up, something comes along from nowhere to put that glow back in the soul. Ashley Cole limped off the training field in Moscow today after a heavy tackle by team-mate Claude Makelele during Chelsea's training session. Anxious team mates gathered round to assess the damage just 26 hours before kick-off in the Champions League final. Cole eventually hobbled off the pitch with the help of Chelsea medical staff. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...89520-20424031/
  16. Suspended sentence, presumably.

  18. Believe me, after the slightly tiresome vision of the Henry scowl following a goal, its nice to see a bit of wild passion. If I scored 10 minutes from the end in the San Siro to win the tie, I dont know that I would be that much in control of my emotions to give a flying one what I looked like.
  19. he's an African who likes to dance - whys that so bad? Would rather see him dance then do multiple somersaults or something equally injury risking.
  20. Why? Don't like it, don't watch it, surely?
  21. Its the kind of thing you would watch if it was your own player - you can't surely tell me that if it was the Fernando Torres show, with Rafa coming on to talk about Nando, that you wouldnt have watched. Arsene was quite funny I thought.

  23. I was wondering when this thread would start. I am going to keep my own counsel on this one.
  24. Never really seen him play, is he better than Ben Arfa? Sounds like this story has some legs to it.
