Its not why couldn't they, its 'why would they'? If they took control of Liverpool, which I understand to be the desired 'end game' (correct me if this is not the case), then without millionaire external backing, how on earth would you make the club prosper if you go up against Sky, and essentially bite the hand that feeds you. For all Sky's faults, they have ploughed money into the game, money that the clubs couldnt survive without. To achieve your ultimate aim of controlling Liverpool, and then taking on Sky once youre there, would be folly in the extreme.

I think both will have as much or as little rebuilding as they want. Chelsea can keep what they have and add to it, or can get a new man in and change as much as he wants to change. Arsenal have lost 2 first team players, but in certainly one of those cases, and arguably 2, they are utterly replaceable. In fact Nasri for Hleb looks like a good trade, and we're only in May, sp plenty of time to re-inforce.

I think the big tip should definitely stay.

Thats way harsh on Kuyt that. Eboue is a spineless, despicable cheat of a footballer. He played the majority of the season at right midfield and contributed 1 assist and 0 goals. For his limitations, Kuyt is a warrior, with a massive heart. Eboue is just a discrace of a footballer, the first of our own that I have ever despised.

As an outsider looking in, it seems to me that for all his workrate, he isn't quite of the level needed to be part of a team looking to push on like you are. Workrate is phenomenal, but as an attacking player I'm not sure that is enough in a championship winning side?
