  1. Wow, really? £55,000 to £60,000 a week is worth eternal villification for? And not just from Arsenal fans - not remotely. Without wishing your team ill, I strongly suspect that Michael Owen will, at some point this season, make you review this statement. As above. I was at the game, and what he did was f***ing despicable. You wait and see what that feels like.
  2. Nail. On. Head.
  3. I think Campbell's trophy haul justifies the choice he made leaving Tottenham for Arsenal. I think he's quite a cold, unemotional person, but nothing like the c***itude of Adebayor.
  4. Wow, couldnt have put it better myself.
  5. Van Persie's? Red Card? Really? Yellow and a stiff talking to, for me. If the other t*** hadnt reacted and kicked him in the face, nobody would have even noticed Van Persie's tackle.
  6. I was on the Upper tier (un)fortunately. To be honest, I just thought he looked a bit ridiculous, like some kind of pantomime villain. Tell you what, though, he changed the atmosphere from being quite pleasant into something quite nast and vitriolic. He's such an idiot, he had it all with us, and genuinely thinks he did nothing wrong. And the banana thing is b******s, too
  7. Its of no interest to me whatsoever what he himself thinks. Its the lazy journalism that spreads the word that the Arsenal Fans were singing racist songs that I object to.
  8. Just a point of order, having been at the game. The City Fan's new song for him is, bizarrely, Adebayor Adebayor He's hung like an elephant His wife's f***ing sore. This is what was getting sung, by them, not us. At no point whatsoever did the Arsenal fans sing the other one about his parents.
  9. Why is Arsene in inverted commas? Its not a nickname!
  10. I noticed this, and can understand it. This team is much more special than those that have gone before it though. And I'm not going to go into the debate again of the youth 'system', but these boys will, bye and large, be very special. Wilshere, Ramsey, Vela and Merida will definitely be Arsenal class, and the rest will all have very good Premiership careers. Frankly, how Ramsey can continue to be overlooked for Denilson, and Vela for Bendnter is quite beyond me.
  11. I said on here in the summer that I thought this was his critical season, and there is definitely a thinning of patience at the way things have gone. When I said that in the summer, if I thought this season would have turned out as it has, I would have put money on this being his last. It appears, however, that he will be given one last summer to sort it out. A lot of people want him to spend big this January, but a lot more, myself included, would prefer to scratch through this season as best we can, and go shopping in the summer, when a true quality of player is more likely to be available. I cant believe that even someone with his levels of stubbornness would refuse to augment the squad in the summer, but we have been surprised by him before, positively and negatively. And in answer to the people who have mentioned it previously in this thread - it is indeed incredibly frustrating to be in this situation, knowing that the money was available to spend in the summer. 2-3 more for Alonso? Looks cheap at twice the price now.
  12. You will. Our form is only going to worsen as Cesc gets more and more run into the ground. Throw in trips to Man City and Chelsea in the next couple of weeks, and you should have even more of a gap on us come December 21st than you already do.
  13. Well, thats us well and truly f***ed. I hope you lot keep it together and go all the way now. Let us have the Champions League though, eh?
  14. You boys sure spend a lot of time on here talking about Arsenal!
  15. I have no idea why anyone would have expected any different. Show that shower a wad of notes and they'll drop their pants quicker than David Pleat. Like Alan Sugar, who 'wouldnt wash his car with Klinsmanns Shirt', until he re-signed him 18 months later. Absolute shambles of a football club.
  16. And has that t***tish '+' sign between the 1 and the 9 on his back. No mate, youre 19, not 10.
  17. Ha! Thats one think Liverpool and Arsenal will always have in common it would seem - no matter how bad things look in your own house, your next door neighbours will always be there to remind you how much worse things could be!
  18. Good player, but no spine or bottle about him whatsoever - witness his bottled penalty in an ultimately low-pressure penalty shoout out at Wembley. Unable to fight for his place at Chelsea or ourselves, he went off in a hissy fit, and I think has now found his level.
  19. Missed that bit the first time. I think, as I always have done, that he could do great things for us. However, we have far far bigger fish to fry than our strikers.
  20. They won't, they really wont. I think they will start to sense our falibility, and be far braver than they have been before. Get a corner - you will get a scoring chance Play direct - our Centre backs can't defend it.
  21. Having watched a good amount of football so far, it seems to me that the stronger mid-table clubs have strengthened quite considerably this summer, more so, comparitively than the top 4. I think the big boys could have more points taken off them by these clubs before, and the eventual winners of the title could win it with the lowest ever points total. That could open the door for the Villas of this world to do something unexpected.
  22. Yup. They are stunning seats though.
  23. That, strangely, fills me with no confidence at all.
