  1. The obvious lack of midfield quality is clear in that if we had a massive CL or PL tie and had to play Keïta, Milner, or Ox, we would be significantly worse off. I still think we'll get someone. I can believe Klopp has faith in the front four, but I can't accept he's happy with the big drop off in quality if we get injuries in midfield.
  2. Sion

    Burnley

Could park near sandhills and get the soccerbus up
  3. He's about 8th in the pecking order for midfielders surely? Get him out the door so we can finally decide if he's good enough or not.
  4. Leno is leaving next summer isn't he. So they've got Ramsdale as a long term option with a year to bed in and he'll take a homegrown spot. I don't think Ramsdale is as bad as some make out, but he's obviously nowhere near Alisson/Ederson/Oblak level. So it's weird to be investing so much in him when the rest of their team is so garbage. Arsenal seem to be trying to emulate what we did when Klopp first arrived, but the players they're signing don't really fit the same bill as Mane or Wijnaldum and it just seems like they're overpaying on proven average players.
  5. Wolves are finalising the sale of Mir this week for 16m. Could possibly lead to Origi interest *prays*
  6. It was based on Maldini saying he should be asking for 600-800k based on what Bale and Griezmann and Neymar get. I'm saying if he's demanding that then I'm happy for him to go and us not pay it.
  7. If he's asking for 600k a week yeah.
  8. The only club in the world who might entertain such wages these days is PSG and he's not going there. I'm not sure 'offer what a club 1.2b in debt did to Griezmann or he leaves on a free' carries much weight either from an agent. If Salah is making unreasonable demands then I'm happy for him to go tbh. Good luck to him finding someone who'll pay the fee we want for a 29 year old. If he decides to run his contract down he'll be 31 when it expires. He's not getting 600k a week from anyone then. He'd also miss out on two years of increased salary from us.
  9. You're strangely obsessed I remember seeing a stat about him creating one big chance in the PL for Arsenal in about 12 games?
  10. Chelsea are pretty much nailed to get Rice. He's got Man Utd written all over him.
  11. Arsenal looking to spend a fortune on that massive fraud Odegaard or the over rated Maddison when they could get Coutinho on the cheap is very them. They're about the only team that could afford him and where his play would fit.
  12. One of their biggest problems in turning it around is the massive loss of revenue they'll get from losing Messi. Millions of plastic fans in the Middle East, Americas, and Asia basically support Barcelona by proxy because of Messi. Next time they go to renew their kit deal or Sponsorship arrangements and there's no Messi to wow people will they get as much? Probably not. Will they sell tickets for the Camp Nou as readily how they've basically only got a few superstars? They could even miss out on the CL this year looking at the lack of quality in their squad.
  13. United are going to be top by mid October because they have the easiest start any team has ever had. Their fans will start getting way over excited. The trouble is whether that motivation of beating Leeds and Southampton gives them the confidence for their horror Oct/Nov where they play Leicester, Liverpool, Tottenham, City, Chelsea, Arsenal in the space of 7 games.
  14. I would be very surprised if we're not trying something very similar to the Jota deal but with Origi and Bowen Reports West Ham sniffing around Origi. Our interest in Bowen comes from the trusted journos.
  15. Gonna walk this s*** league Probably win it by 10-15 points in the end
  16. No he's s*** and doesn't deserve another chance after how he f***ed us over.
  17. Who's laughing now Dan
  18. The CL win seems to have convinced people they're a much better team than they actually are.
  19. Norwich are going to be playing ex Middlesbrough legend Ben Gibson at CB alongside either Grant Hanley who has had virtually no pre season due to Covid, or 19 year old Omobamidele who has played about 5 senior games. We should be absolutely whacking these.
  20. He's the slowest footballer in the world
  21. When Salah was at Basel he scored 9 goals in 47 games. I don't think it would be too much of a worry if the scouts and coaches think he has the ability. Plus, based on nothing other than my own assumptions, I bet Stade Rennais are hardly a free flowing attacking team.
  22. A few probable bulls*** twitter accounts are pushing the Doku rumours. He wouldn't take up a non-homegrown spot in the squad as he's 19, so that could be something of interest.
  23. Unless Minamino's summer has involved him spending 5 hours a day in the gym on a diet of whey powder, he'll still be completely useless.
  24. Do Joyce and Co not get sick of being a constant club mouthpiece? They must think we're stupid if we're going to swallow the 'Klopp is revitalised, Ox is like a new player' BS. Whilst literally all 3 of our main rivals are making massive moves.
  25. They're also getting Adam Armstrong. The fact Origi has been involved this week and Shaqiri and Phillips haven't says it all. He's going nowhere. Clever FC gave him a long contract to protect his value and now he's going to be here forever.
