    Robbo has only played 3 games this season. Trent had the summer off. Seems a bit premature to be resting them like this when they can easily not even travel to Norwich and have a week between games.

    If they want him they'll have to either wait 2 years, or pay a big fee next summer for a 30 year old with 1 year left. Either way it's not too bad for us. We either get a big fee for an ageing player or 2 more years of peak Salah and then we replace him when he's 31. It's probably better than offering a 29 year old an extravagant 4 year contract when there's no guarantee he'll still be the same player at 32/33.

    Our base wage bill hasn't grown by 56% in three years has it? Is it not just giving off that impression because of the bonuses? We presumably paid a lot less bonuses last year.

    How have we not just terminated Karius's contract? Nobody is going to pay a fee. He's hanging around like a bad smell. It can't be good for his mental state being 4th choice and being reminded of his f*** ups every day.

    When is he going to play? VVD is going to start pretty much every PL and CL game if he stays fit. So assuming he does, we've got 3 much better players than Nat competing for the remaining spot. Even looking at Norwich in the cup. Konate and Gomez play surely?

    The thing that makes less sense is now we have to pay another year of Nat's (improved) wages, another year of Origi's wages, another year of Minamino's wages. For them to do literally f*** all. We're going to pay Nat probably 1.5-2m in wages? He's gonna sit on the bench for 12 months. His value is only going one way in that scenario. We're far too clever for our own good sometimes.
