Yes, they have quite a lot of it, which is freely available to them. At no cost. So they don't need any more. And they are unwilling to pay for something that they get for free and have lots of. Which makes it hard to sell to them.

According to this we've spent £98 million and recouped £72 million. Think it was mentioned that we were going to spend about £60 million plus whatever we recoup in sales. It looks like we're going to spend about £16 million on Moreno, get about £14 million for Borini and £7 million for Assaidi. That leaves about £33 million to spend. Realise this doesn't account for wages etc. We could afford Bony then, even at his release clause. Wonder which other strikers we could get for about £30 million.

Young players atrophy when they aren't playing. He wouldn't be first choice here. He's at a critical stage in his career. What's best for the player long term is best for the team long term IMO.

It's not a good comparison though. The good bits of the saints team reflect the bad bits of our team. It's not the case with everton.
