Why are we assuming we'll be able to get Pennant on the cheap ? Birmingham don't need to sell him + Birmingham don't want to sell him + Birmingham know that we are desperate for a winger = Big wad of cash. I can see them holding out for 7 million. We may well have agreed something with Pennant, but that doesn't mean we've agreed anything with Birmingham.

I'm not sure about that. Many people, including the UK reps, depend on the tourist industry for a living - why should they be held to account over a judicial process they can do nothing about ? Not that it would matter in reality. The 'boycotted' places would be filled by someone else anyway. The best way forward would be to take it to the European Court.
