Thought shelvey looked good in the space behind Luis...would like to see him given a run there

id be more worried about suarez, we all know barca want him....and that the ways he being treated by the english officials,press,etc....he must be tempted.

we can blame the ref all we want, fact is 11 vs 11..we were poor with our final ball being awful Once we went down to 10 we at least added some pace into our game......gotta stop with this carroll nonsence too, hes blatently abysmal and the whole shape looks awful when he starts

he was complete s**** yet again....and again the partnership brings about another all round poor performance. We have to stick him back on the bench and play to our strengths.

Of course with the way he left,I think some maybe have forgotten how good he was..I knew I had! And after reminding myself,he was friggin astonishing and well...they are different players so maybe it was wrong for me to mention hr blew Suarez out the water..still Torres at his peak was certainly at the same level

I watched the season reviews from a couple of years bk...Torres really was so fking good for us and at his peak blew Suarez out the water,though of course very different players..still there was something unbelievably special about him. And we forward to now and Torres looks a shadow of his former self..is it injuries? Or somethingmore serious? For me I'd love to know exactly what the real reasons are...cos there is definetly something very very wrong with him

we were outstanding tonight! lucas before the injury was awesome yet again!....thought Coates had a quality game.

i dont wanna slag him , and not support him and yes i hope he comes good..BUT i thought he was shocking tonight....we had 10 outstanding performers and one who was simply awful.

he was sensational today, up against maybe the countrys current best midifeld in toure..and lucas shamed him, made him look pretty average.. Dont think im overestimating this, but that was one of the great anfield midfield performances....would love to see a video of just lucas` play throughout the game, friggin stunning.

As much as i want downing to succed..i dont think this is the game to bring him back..i cant see him getting much change out of Richards, this game needs to be all about high energy, Kuyt guarantees us that.....we need to win this game in midfield, if we simply go at them and allow to much space in midfield we will be overun for Lucas and Adam are far too slow, they need support.

Bellamy will be well up for this game. We just put in a fantastic performance at chelsea...no reason to change it in my opinion.

Carroll is one for the future..he is only 23 BUT we paid a ton of money - hence the pressure ,if we had only paid half that price..people would definetly have more patience, but the way it is...he has to perform now, which is unfortunate for him

so far..has shown true qualities.. Still seems to have lapses in concentration and sometimes tries to be a bit fancy at the back when he should be getting rid....also seems to get in the way when going forward, has happened numerous times with downing and bellamy in the week......but hopefully that will soon dissapear afer settling in. Looks like being our best left back in over 20 years.

watched lucas closely today...was excellent , yes west brom arent all that..but the amount of times he picks up possession..always seems to be in the right spot. Such an intellegent player...constantly makes the right choices and normally when under pressure.. 1. lucas 2. suarez 3. agger
