  1. paul dalglish was awful........ the top 10 of that list is pretty solid though....err except for ball and davies!
  2. problem with some clubs is that they blow big money on 1 or 2 players but forget about the rest of the side.. take the mancs, since spending big on van horse, rooney and rooney..........they havent won the two trophys, and didnt stengthen the rest of their side...ie..center mid, a replacement for beckham.. But regarding us, well Rafa has spent fairly well and we have a good squad with excellent competetion for places.. Keeper - reina, carson, dudek right bk - finnan, krompkamp left bk - warnock, riise, traore center bks - carra, hyypia, agger, traore center mid - hamann, alonso, sissoko, gerrard right mid - garcia, gerrard, cisse left mid - kewell, riise striker - cisse, crouch, fowler, pongolle, morientes for me we are solid in all positions except right mid and strikers.... i think keeping riise and kewell as competition on the left hand side is perfect depending on the opposition.. We definetly another option at right mid, and our strikers....well i expect morientes and cisse to be sold in the summer which would bring in 10million minimum(i hope!) so to answer your question.....i do believe we should spend big in the summer on 2 players......a top class striker and a quality right mid.
  3. -----------------dudek--------------- finnan-------carra--hyypia-----riise --------------------------------------- -garcia-----sissoko-alonso--kewell -------------cisse---crouch---------- With no gerrard,we shall definetly need sissokos energy.
  4. he was fantastic.....yes fantastic first 30mins of yesterday, then drifted out of the game like the rest of our side.. grrrrrrrrrrrrr im still so gutted, we were fecking excellent for the first 30mins...best we`d played since japan.
  5. strange question... anyway owen,crouch,anelka and......ermmmm fowler
  6. give me a break....... Baros had plenty of time to prove himself at anfield, he was ok in some games, but missed a hell of alot of chances.. Baros, cisse, diouf, heskey, morientes all strikers bought in the past 6 years........all a waste of money and a good 50-60million spent.
  7. krompkamp,sissoko,garcia.........all been guilty of falling on the floor, part of the game now...better get used to it.. Trust me, in 10 years time tackling will be outlawed and players will be wearing headguards.
  8. definetly, crouch i thought played well today but with no striker/poacher anticipating his knock downs.... Hopefully fowler will get fit and quick..
  9. we were playing fantastic before the trip to japan, since returning we havent looked the same....yes we`ve had a few wins but even in those games we were not convincing... The side looks tired...and apart from the first 30mins today(in which we were excellent) yet again we lacked pace,ideas,etc... Im really worried about this month, we have some massive games which will really make or break our season.. Im not feeling confident at all right now.

    Reina

wtf a bit harsh! anyway, yes he got the ball...but it doesnt matter whenever you slide in with both feet of the ground and follow through.......most of the time ya gonna get a red for it
  11. yes he did, doesnt hide the fact that most of his game is very poor..
  12. i know i know i know, we all desperate for this lad to succeed, he is after a local boy plus with the two broken legs hes suffered it would be fantastic if he were to make the left back spot his own...but............. Lets be honest, he just isnt good enough...his positional play is appalling, his distribution is poor, he lacks pace...basically all the requirements for a good left bk he doesnt have.. If warnock was a foreign export he would be getting slammed right now...

    Reina

personally thought it was a horrible tackle by Reina....both feet up, as soon as it happened, a red for that alone was deserved.. sorry
  14. eh>?

    Player

i remember that, an old classic ...wouldnt you say rushian
  16. hate to say it cos hes now a manc..........but we had a chance of getting Christiano Ronaldo for half the price the mancs paid... A quailty player, and just turned 21...........would`ve been an awesome signing for us.
  17. amazing really, watching him in the highlights...just look at some of the positions he takes up...a natural and something we have lacked...well since fowler and owen(oh but owen isnt a natural striker acording to hoddle )
  18. isnt agger 6ft 4 ?
  19. agree he did have a decent game, yet he never looks like hes going to score.....his link up play is excellent, as is crouch....and having both in the same side doesnt work for me.
  20. yet still looked more dangerous than a fully fit morientes or cisse
  21. cmon he looked alot slimmer than what ive seen him during his spells with man city and leeds.....of course he has alot of work to do,lets hope he stays free of injury and works hard on the training pitch.
  22. well he certainly looks in good shape, possibly the best shape hes been in since the 97-98 season.... Couldnt believe how skinny he looked.. Lets hope pako can work him on the training ground to get his fitness up so he can really make a difference for us in the coming months...
  23. well first time ive seen that cribs episode... oh dear, kewell and his misses really do come across as a couple of morons.... Sorry harry ya a good player sometimes, but really are a bit of a t*** ...
  24. surely usher was only repeating what many had been saying on the forums....i remember the stick heskey was getting, far worse than either diouf or cisse thats for sure... anyway think its stupid this has turned into a thread discussing the merits of a certain fanzine.. if you like it, you buy it.. if you dont....well its quite obvious that you dont buy it. Is is called a "Fanzine" for christs sake!!
  25. the upcoming home against birmingham is possibly one in which we can rest sami or jamie...possibly both, we have some massive games coming up and now with us drawing the mancs in the fa cup, its another tough game, one in which i doubt any of our first team will be rested.. Birmingham at home is an ideal opportunity...yes its a must-win game, like all games are........but surely we have the quality in back up to beat them...
