thought johnson did an excellent job at left back.....for me, he seems better suited there than right back, havent seen anything from any of the full backs mentioned who would be an improvement over johnson...maybe...only baines. Right back and im more than happy to use our youth..who more than showed they are capable of doing a quality job..first choice - kelly right back, johnson left back......
-
Suarez having a good game...scored a nice goal, some quality little runs and a great through ball to sally gunnel who blazed over!!!
-
wouldnt suprise me if the mancs were behind this....sunderland and the scum seem to have an interesting relationship in regards to transfers.. Wickham goes to sunderland for a year, gets plenty of first team action...then joins the mancs for a hefty sum

I like shelvey, he has that confidence and cockyness that gerrard had at a similar age.. Would hate to see him go out on loan, i actually rate him better potentially than Henderson...but can definetly see them complimenting each other in the future..could become our future lfc center mid partnership.

hello

He is, but need some random crazy who is capable of genius. Also, he takes a sensational corner...worth it just for that

tarrabt.......cmonnnnn make it happen

But that is the priority? no? Its a liverpool football academy, so its to produce top players for our first team and save us from spending top money. That is the only priority.
-
i like Barton, hes had a good couple of seasons....seems to have cleaned up his act a little would be an excellent squad player... oh and young vs downing - im in the downing camp.
-
its really quite simple and obvious the academy is there to produce top 1st team players for liverpool IF the academy doesnt produce top 1st team players for liverpool...then it is a failure. The only possible success has been Warnock, and i wouldnt even say he was a top first team player for liverpool.. So............blatent failure, and yes i would go as far as to say a complete disaster. How anyone can argue this is beyond me.

perfect......exactly my thoughts, Downing is the perfect man for Carroll, we just laid out a huge sum of cash for him, it makes sense we are gonna buy someone with great crossing ability, and those early crosses into the box are what downing is awesome at...
-
Still not convinced by young...downing represents far better value and would suit us better....I just havent ever seen a moment that convinced me young was a top top player

i think this is fantastic news... "Matchday tickets for Category A games have increased by £1 for the Kop and £2 for other stands. Tickets for Category B games have increased by £2, while for Category C matches Kop prices have risen by £1 and all other stands by £2. The most expensive ticket at Anfield will now be £48 for a Category A game (for example: a Centenary Stand seat v Manchester United) whilst the cheapest adult ticket will be £39 for a Category C ticket in the Kop (for example: a Kop seat v West Bromwich Albion). Following feedback from supporters, the Club has reduced all children's ticket prices by up to £8, with every junior Barclays Premier League ticket now priced at just £15, regardless of the match category. This is in line with us wanting to encourage the next generation of supporters." also regarding the adult prices, 48quid...is a bargain in comparism to other clubs in the premiership.

thats what i want to see.....formation time! -------------------------reina------------------------ johnson------carra-----sktrel-----------flanno -----------------------lucas------------------------- ------------gerrard---------mireles-------------- ----kuyt--------------------------------suarez----- ----------------------carroll------------------------- Based on who we have currently.....allows flexability, great movement...means lotf of pressure on the full backs to get down the line, but based on who we have now...thats what will potentially work best with Carroll in the side.

Who is the worst defender we've had since we won the title?
floyd the barber replied to épieur's topic in Liverpool FC
based on the money paid and witrh expectations kinda high....definetly phil babb, horrendous defender -
Big mistake that from kenny...IF we were serious about wanting to get in the europe league. Really we should have played Shelvey in the mireles position and kept the same formation that has been so successful these past few weeks. Playing an unfit Carroll and changing the formation really hurt us...we struggled from the begining.

Yes!!!!!
