I think I'm alright with him hiding it, he should have just hidden it completely. The one thing I really didn't want these contracts to do was f*** up this season for the team. Which hasn't happened, so, you know, well done Trent I guess.

Also, and this might sound pathetic, he got my hopes up he was signing a contract by being seen in training gear in West Derby with a film crew, and it turned out to be that?! I should point out that I am not pathetic, I just selfishly want Liverpool to be the greatest team in the world and having good players stay here is a really big part of that.

It is a bit comparable. What was the armband that said he was a red all about? He was doing weird little signs that he wanted to come to us for a year before he did. Google switch style nonsense in old 2007.

I think there's something in it, in a purely footballing sense. You've seen it from players like Alonso and Thiago who wanted to go and try out other top leagues, play under great managers and so on.

I don’t think anyone would. Maybe that’s the real test of which of the contracts is most important. How many weird people on here would stick up for the club or slag the player if they did leave

Yeah defo. The bit where he played during Trent’s injury last season was the most exciting point of the whole campaign. Really hope he starts to get a bit fitter.
