Klose and Podolski perform their roles in this machine, but I think there are other German players that makes their team tick. Most notably, Schweinsteiger, Muller, Ozil and Lahm. The second tier, like Klose, Podolski, Kheidra are ok, but just that. Klose is perhaps more important, as I thought the German play really suffered when he was out. They need him leading the line. Podolski is a bit like Riera for us, he offers width and balance due to being left footed, and can wack the ball hard, but I am not impressed by the his round play.
