  1. Wayne Bridge is not good enough anymore. And his wages are astronomical! 40K max. And the lad is on more than twice that!
  2. Bridge 2 years ago, yes. But he is now on 100K or something at City, and his positioning is awful. He is 30, and had a poor season. No thanks. problem is there are not many ok left backs out there, certainly not English ones. I'd rather sign Konchesky than Bridge to be honest. And he would probably be half the price as well.
  3. Huntelaar - yes, please. Bridge, no way!
  4. Well, then we'll just have to disagree and move on. Quicker than Riise, Aurelio and Insua imo.
  5. I think if we had offered the same patience and generosity towards Dossena that we are now extending to Riise, he would have developed into a better left back, and certainly one good enough for our first 11. Even Evra was struggling as hell when he first arrived, and it took some time before he adapted. But then he became class. Who is to say that the wing back Dossena might not have done the same if he had been given more time to adjust to the new position and the style of football in England?
  6. I see the collective memory loss with regards to Riise has set in.
  7. I've no problems with him wanting away. He is just being a s***house about it. And the holiday argument doesn't wash. Surely he could have had a chat with his new boss between his holidays and the end of his world cup? You bet he would pick up the phone if the ringtone was Inter Milan.
  8. Are there at least any fleas we can pick up from the upcoming City garage sale?
  9. The c*** text back yet?
  10. I bet Mascher would be all over his phone if his agent called him...
  11. I am perfectly aware of that, but he has gotten a new boss while away at the World Cup. A phone call to have a chat before jetting off on his hols after the World Cup was over, is that really too much to ask? Instead we have his agent spouting b******s all over the press and the player is still under contract.
  12. Would it be unfair to fine Mascher if he doesn't call the manager back, if gets the message through directly or via his agent? I mean, LFC pays his wages.
  13. Will he chose Owen in his line up?
  14. Me and Jova have the same haircut. I feel sorry for those of you who have the same haircut as Roy.
  15. I agree with your reasoning. Scharner, or Davies for that matter, would be ok on a free as long as it doesn't hamper the progress or chances of a promising youngster (not including such as Spearing and Darby who are't ever going to be good enough).
  16. Was King Kenny mentioned?
  17. 22 mill on Milner is madness imo.
  18. f***sake. That worked well. Blame me.
  19. No I don't want him. He has won nothing of significance and his track record is unimpressive. At this stage I want to be assured by a decent track record in top leagues. And in case anyone feels like coming along with the Shanks had won nowt argument, there are 100 Sounesses for every Shanks.
  20. That sounds like the right way to go about it, from LFC Managing Director to LFC fan....
  21. Klose and Podolski perform their roles in this machine, but I think there are other German players that makes their team tick. Most notably, Schweinsteiger, Muller, Ozil and Lahm. The second tier, like Klose, Podolski, Kheidra are ok, but just that. Klose is perhaps more important, as I thought the German play really suffered when he was out. They need him leading the line. Podolski is a bit like Riera for us, he offers width and balance due to being left footed, and can wack the ball hard, but I am not impressed by the his round play.
