Why is that FAT FRANK can play almost 3 years on the trot without being rested and yet players like Torres (younger & in better shape) are not able to play 5 games on the bounce???

From .tv Liverpool Football Club have confirmed the sale of Gabriel Paletta to Argentine side Boca Juniors. The young centre-back had been at Anfield since the summer of 2006. Liverpool snapped him up from Banfield following impressive displays in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championships. Argentina won the tournament, with Paletta playing in all seven games alongside the likes of Lionel Messi. The 21-year-old made his Reds debut on October 25, 2006 in a 4-3 League Cup victory over Reading at Anfield. He capped an impressive display with a second-half goal. Paletta went on to play eight times for the club. Liverpoolfc.tv wishes him all the best for the future. Didn't have the best of times with us but i wish him well. YNWA

Marseille and Liverpool are close to agreeing a new loan deal for Djibril Cisse, according to L'Equipe. The France international striker spent last season at the Stade Velodrome and is happy to remain for a further season after l'OM qualified for the UEFA Champions League. Bolton and Benfica have also been linked with a bid for Cisse, but it appears Marseille are set to reach an accord with The Reds. The deal is likely to include the option for Marseille to sign the 25-year-old front man for a pre-determined fee next summer. Barcelona's Ludovic Giuly is another priority for l'OM, who are on the lookout for a replacement for Franck Ribery. Monaco also want the Barca attacker but Marseille sport director Jose Anigo hopes to steal a march on their rivals. "We are in talks. We are trying but it is not that easy," Anigo said. Meanwhile, Anigo has revealed he is close to capturing Karim Ziani, having agreed a deal with the winger. But further talks with Sochaux chairman Jean-Claude Plessis are still required before the move can be finalised. Anigo added in L'Equipe: "We have an agreement with the player and his agent. Now we are waiting for talks with the Sochaux chairman." However, former Milan and Paris Saint Germain midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo will not replace Ziani at Sochaux, according to Plessis. "We dreamt during a moment, but eventually the reality caught up with us," he told Direct 8 Link http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...w+l'OM+loan what a load of b****x, we are being played like mugs. we buy a player for £14m then agree to loan him out and recoup 12 odd mill euroes after this year. now we are gonna loan him out again and then let his value drop again next year. we need to let other clubs know that we are not to be taken advantage of and if they cant pay up they can just f*** off.

What an earth was Phil Babb & Paul Walsh doing in the squad. Babb was shocking apart from that screamer, and Walsh had a touch of a rapist throughout the tournament. Surely we must be able to rustle up better players then those 2

Fave goal - Crouch vs west ham fave game - Barca Away - what a night

Diouf had the talent to be a great player for us, but his bad attitude made him turn out to be a CO*K Unlike all other LFC players (past and present) that CU*T will always walk alone

"A lot of football success is in the mind. You must believe that you are the best and then make sure that you are. In my time at Liverpool we always said we had the best two teams in Merseyside, Liverpool and Liverpool reserves." Bill Shankly

Me and a mate of mine got thinking about the signings that Houllier brought to the club (not home grown). Then wondered what the best possible 11 would have been if they were all in the squad at the same time. This is what I came up with Dudek Babbel Hyypia Henchoz Riise Barmby McAllister Hamann Kewell Litmanen Anelka As far as I can remember these were the players he brought to the club (Not home grown) Goal Keepers Jerzy Dudek, Chris Kirkland, Paul Jones, Pegguy Arphexad, Sander Westerveld Defenders Sami Hyypia, Stephane Henchoz, Christian Ziege, Abel Xavier, Steve Finnan, Markus Babbel, John Arne Riise, Frode Kippe, Jean-Michel Ferri, Djimi Traore, Gregory Vignal, Midfield Gary McAllister, Dietmar Hamann, Harry Kewell, Nick Barmby, Anthony Le Tallec, Bernard Diomede, Brono Cheyrou, Vladimir Smicer, Salif Diao, Igor Biscan, Alou Diarra Strikers Djibril Cisse, Jari Litmanen, Nicolas Anelka, Florent Sinama-Pongolle, El Hadji Diouf, Milan Baros, Emile Heskey, Erik Meijer, Titi Camara, Who would be in your Houllier 1st Eleven? Why people go on about Torres being Word class is beyond me, his games to goals ratio is poor. Don?t get me wrong me plays for an unfashionable club and has lots of skill, but the fact still remains that he still doesn?t score enough goals TORRES League 2000 ? Present Games - 212 Goals - 82

heskey has more then berbatov in the league, does that mean that you'd take emile above him?
