Aye but it could be argued Rafa has a years Premiership experience now so we're playing better full stop

    Cisse

    yes
  3. Penarth is OK and only a short bus or train journey away (3 miles) - for cheap and cheerful accomodation with a good breakfast try Hickman Lodge http://www.hickmanlodge.co.uk/
  4. must be getting pretty used to the last ten minute (??) onslaughts, I watched every second
  5. the last one crossed the line also

    Anderson

I'd settle for that if he fulfills his promise
  7. Really good advert that
  8. Don't know why I get wound up by these discussions, perhaps because I hate people disagreeing with me when i'm so obviously right - Gerrard
  9. Agree with that, haven't a clue how it stayed 0-0
  10. Well suited that we're not really rated too be honest. We can steal up and nab the Prem Title next season just like we did the Champions League Title last season before anyone notices
  11. I have a lot of sympathy for the lad really and wish him well whether he stays or leaves.
  12. When we've secured third place wonder if Rafa would be tempted to give Anderson a run out in the Premiership?
  13. my dad was the only red in his family

As a kid Rochdale were my second team. They were local, they were cheap enough to buy tickets (at the gates)with my pocket money and I could walk to the ground with my mates. I still look for their results but have lately noticed we only tend to win when they lose or draw. Of course my allegiance has cooled considerably since this realisation
  15. Was really worried about the very real frailities at the back when the starting line up was announced. Hamann should have started and much as I hate Gerrard on the right, in hindsight that would have been the better option.
  16. you will come to see that criticising Crouch in another 6 months will be as acceptible as slating Morientes has now become
  17. as an aside, during last season we often only had one fit striker at any one time. Baros in particular held the ball up really well even when he wasnt scoring
  18. Benfica were good defensively against a not very creative attack - they were good on the break against a not very confident defence. If that makes them good, so be it
  19. In defence of Kewell, he's played an awful lot of consecutive games for someone just coming back from a nasty injury - I expect to a lesser degree you could say the same for Garcia
  20. How it can be 50/50 when Madrid havent actually spoken to Rafa is beyond me
  21. I only rarely take him indoors - I'm fed up of continually having to explain the offside rule
  22. Reina Finnan Hyypia Carra Riise Gerrard Hamann Alonso Kewell Cisse Crouch
  23. I just want to slap Maureen's condescending chops with wet fish (pleural)
  24. Certainly Ronaldinho can be brilliant in flashes but I've seen quite a lot of him this season (admittedly from my sofa) and turned the telly off feeling, well, underwhelmed. Although not comparing like for like, if given the choice, I'd take Henry every time (and even after seeing him at Anfield the other week)
  25. That list doesn't fill me with optimism to be honest. I think 12 million for someone who is prone to injury isn't really that good a piece of business. Robbie may get us a few goals but he is unlikely to improve significantly over the next season or so. I see Crouch as nothing more than a squad player, being able to offer something different in the last 20 minutes of a game and Pongolle may come back to be a really useful player but would you at this stage of our development pin all your hopes on him?
