He probably does do too much 'work for the team' at the moment. He needs to start doing it in the right areas and make sure he gets on the end of moves.

Unfortunately he went off injured at half time (I think) and didn't play again that season.

They have the makings of a great partnership (but as we know with Rafa, he'll not stick with a 'partnership'). Bellamy has the pace to get in behind and down the channels, although Kuyt is no slouch, and both can drop deep and link the play. If anything they over complicated it at times. They seemed happier being unselfish rahter than shooting. If they get more games together they'll start doing some real damage. Especially so if we have a more creative midfield than started the game today.

The refs feel it legitmises their wrong decision if they book someone who protests. They must know they got it wrong pretty much straight away but have to cover it up.

Honorable, indeed. I think it's time for a letter of commendation to the FA for Mr. Johnson's protest. It takes a man of character to restrain from protesting straight away and Mr. Johnson has that character in abundance.
