FA and common sense just don't go together mate unless its their own lot of course
-
yeah true mate , but this country makes me sick in their hatred for us, ffs we have'nt even won anything for 6 years so jealousy can't even come into it. they've got serious issues , yet the mancs get away scot free it's one reason i don't follow england's national team
-
1st post by the way , so hello all :-) so................. why do they all hate us? The media, sky tv , etc etc should all report the FACTS , they do with most other clubs, but with us its agenda agenda agenda , why do they always have to go that step further?? i just don't get it i know murdoch owns sky and gill is on the fa but its just disgusting that i can't even watch telly or pick up a paper to see us getting hammered in some way or another , its why i don't watch sky or read papers. the only way we can really answer back is to win trophies , that'll shut the feckers up! until then i will keep visiting the sane websites where i can actually read something about my club without an agenda.

Above everything else, we need a striker this window , not least because Luis might be banned but Carroll will only be used sparingly anyway

gonna be announced in next 2 or 3 hours

yes i know the day and what it stands for but the manager of koptalk mr 'dunk' posted a message saying the deal has been signed and sealed and dic will be our new owners shortly , with quotes and everything , then the t*** puts a smiley a few hours later in the current climate with us all desperate for any kind of news how can a 'liverpool' fan do this?? i expect some texts of mancs lying but not other fans , i've been hanging on for news like this for months and to do that is cruel worse thing is some people are seeing the funny side!! i love a laugh but that is in poor taste i'm not renewing in july and i've told the t*** so as well lower than low

you know whats done my head in ? i tried and not take the bait from the mancs at work and answer any of their texts in the vain hope i would have a field day at 3.15 , but the arrogant t***s were so confident in beating us it was ridiculous , i was praying for a 1-1 or summat , just SOMETHING to go back at them with , but nothing?? absolutely gutted , if one of the t***s dare come near me tomorrow i'll be at the jobcentre by 9.30! on another note , we were never really gonna win the title , i was relieved at the result yesterday because next week is the real big game , i know we had bigger aspirations this season but i'm afraid 4th is the best on offer now , so next week becomes massive now , we have a full 7 days to clear our heads from today , get the lads fired up and lets at least get 4th and attract some decent players to anfield next season , if we win next sunday i think 4th place will be ours , stupidly enough we will end arsenals hopes in 2 weeks as well coz thats what always happens gutted but still optimistic , can't wait till end of may , no more stress for 12 weeks and i'm off on holiday can't come soon enough off to bed :-(

they are no words to describe fernando , except one phenomenal i stare open mouthed whenever i watch this guy , he can be anything he wants , he's that good , he has no flaws and right now he has no equals , just an incredible incredible i'll be absolutely astounded if he doesn't win a title with us i'm just honoured that he's playing for liverpool if he stays fit and keeps up this form in years to come he'll be talked about the premierships greatest ever import i just can't believe some of the goals he scores , only he could do that , united talk about ronaldo , barca about messi , milan about kaka but i honestly mean this when i say i would'nt swap fernanado for any of them , simple as!!

Go for ALves at LB and sign 1 winger, i predict a big season for Harry, i really believe he's gonna be like a new 15m signing for us, you heard it here first, harry kewelll, our player of the season !!
-
lets all be a bit sensible here. tevez is a world class player and would walk into any team and make it better, no matter what the balance or who the team is, so at Utd, you can just be left to imagine. Another thing; When we rotate as rafa loves to do next season, we will be rotating with crouch, Kuyt, Sissoko and Kewell, they'll be rotating with nanni, Anderson, Scholes Giggs, Carrick Think about the bigger picture, and dont rule them out of splashing 20m + on a defender to, they are capabale of anything in the transfer market. Rafa was right, we are building slowly, getting better as we go on, but it will be a couple of years before we challenge for the league again. In Rafa we trust, everyone else can get stuffed !

Liverpool have called a press conference for 3pm on Wednesday, where club record signing Fernando Torres will be paraded before the media. Torres has already delivered his farewells to the Atletico Madrid faithful and will now travel back to Merseyside for his first appearance in front of the English press. Having passed a medical on Tuesday, Torres has put the final touches on a deal purported to be worth in the region of £26.5million. "It has been a difficult decision to leave my all-time club," Torres told the Spanish media, in his final press conference in Madrid. "But it would have been hard for me to reject Liverpool's offer. It is a big leap for me and I think it was the right thing for everyone. "The time comes in the life of a player that he needs more challenges. "I have always done what was best for the club, too. The Liverpool offer arrived and I only told the club to listen to that offer because that is the team I wanted to play for. "It's one of the best, if not the best, clubs in Europe." Torres is to inherit the number nine shirt previously graced by Liverpool legends Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler, and it is an honour he is ready to embrace at Anfield. "The fact that Liverpool are giving me the number nine jersey just goes to show the confidence they have placed in me, when considering those who have worn that shirt before me," he added. "A new beautiful adventure begins for me and I hope that with work and effort I can be among the best players. "This is a unique opportunity for me. Liverpool aspire to everything and that has been an important factor in my decision to go there. "I want to adapt as quickly as possible. I think Premiership is a football that adapts well to my style. "I will arrive with a lot of joy and ambition." Torres' signing will be seen as a signal of intent on the behalf of Liverpool ahead of the new campaign, with Rafa Benitez thought to have prioritised a genuine title tilt for next season. Benitez has in the past spoken of his frustration at being dwarfed in the transfer market but now, having been handed significant funds, he will be expected to deliver a side capable of winning the Premier League. It is expected that Torres will be paid around £90,000 per week, with the Spaniard to put pen-to-paper on his six-year deal at Anfield upon his arrival in England.

Simao or Mancini, i think will be next, if we we signed Tevez, we'd win the league simple as. Can someone please start a new thread with Torres as the subject, it will leave this transfer forum to focus on any other or new news on transfers. Personally also i believe Simao and Mancini would be a bit lightweight, bto be fair not many world class wingers available at the moment. Silva from Valencia is probably the best winger out there who we'd have a chance with, he's a class act.

Torres is a young lad, does anyone here not doubt that when he returns to Spain and watches the protests that have taken place over him, realises just as Gerrard did that he is the darling of the club and its fans and how much he is adored, that he could quite easily decide to stay. Its allot of pressure on his young shoulders and to be honest i for one would not be surprised if he did decide to stay put. I seriously hope he doesnt, but wouldnt be surprised. This deal needed to have been wrapped up in a short space of time. Obviously big transfers do take time, but not as much time as this, all that is happening here is more time is being given to the club and the player to have a change of heart. we seriously need to up it in clinching deals. Its ok to have a light hearted joke about it at the moment, and to be fair we do get the pi** taken out of us for it, but its only a matter of time before it gets serious and we start losing players to rivals.

agree with give them the Garcia comment. I still believe that if Harry ever returned to full fitness, if we see even a couple of seasons of the real Harry Kewell, i highly doubt any Malouda or Simao would come close to a starting place in our team. I know its unlikely, but potentially we have a 15-20m winger waiting in the dark, and if he ever was to come out of his shell and play like the real Harry Kewell can, injuries pending, i'd absolutely love it !

do you need goggles?, the report came from TEAMTALK, TRIBAL FOOTBALL AND THE BEEB, these are the source's, the fact that the report mentions the S*n paper means nothing. And since when has mentioning the S*n ever come up as promoting them on our website?, im pretty certain thats an impossible job, let alone second hand information from a report.

Torres is deffo on holiday so wasnt at anfield this morning. The Owen story is ludicurous, do you really think we'd pay 9 mil for him, even when we are trying to get rid of a few to enhance our budget? Personally i think the first one in will be Benayoun, so where all the other goss is concerned, i think it will be a few weeks at least until we find out about Torres, Malouda, Simao etc

sky sports... Liverpool are looking to use Djibril Cisse to strike a deal with Atletico Madrid for Fernando Torres, according to sources in Spain. The French striker spent last season on loan at Marseille and they are keen for him to return to the Stade Velodrome. However, Liverpool have ruled out any prospect of a new loan - which could hamper Marseille's efforts. Bolton, who could struggle to hold on to Nicolas Anelka this summer, have also been linked - but Liverpool could have other ideas as they look to bolster their own forward line. Reports in Spain suggest Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has made contact over Torres and he is ready to offer Cisse and other players to try and land Atletico's captain. Arsenal and Manchester United are also being tipped to mount bids for the Spanish international, but Liverpool appear to be heading the race at present. Torres has never shirked in his commitment to the Atletico cause, but the Rojiblancos may be ready to do a deal for the 23-year-old. The chance to sign Cisse could be tempting for Atletico, who it is claimed have also been offered the chance to sign Luis Garcia - who is on his way back from a serious knee injury. English reports suggested Peter Crouch could be offered for Torres, but Benitez has already insisted that the England striker is in his long-term plans - unlike Cisse.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has stated if he could choose between signing Samuel Eto'o and bringing back Andrei Shevchenko, he would go for the Ukrainian star. The Rossoneri have been linked with a summer move for Barcelona ace Eto'o, although Shevchenko's name has repeatedly been linked following an indifferent season with Chelsea. Berlusconi has confirmed his liking for Cameroon international Eto'o, but believes Shevchenko is better suited to the team's style of play. The Milan supremo does not believe agreeing terms with Sheva would be a problem and is now looking to thrash out a deal with Chelsea to facilitate his move back to Italy. "I like Eto'o, he's young, but I'm a romantic and I prefer Shevchenko," he told Canale Italia. "When I spoke with (vice-president) Adriano Galliani a few days ago, I was given the impression that there was an 80 per cent chance Sheva would return to Milan. "If the percentage had now fallen, Galliani would have surely have told me. "Sheva has a great desire to come back and there are no obstacles regarding his salary, because it would be equal to one of our other champions. "Next, we must find an agreement with Chelsea on his cost. Sheva would make an ideal addition to our attack."
