The mobilization of fans is truely amazing. In order to keep the momentum going what about a FLASH MOB at citibank and db offices, peaceful of course. Turn up in suits and then sit down and remove jackets to reveal standard corrupted shirts and the H&G not welcome anywhere flyer with the email on the bank. Sit for an agreed duration then peacefully leave.

Understand the boycott but don't think it will work. How about extending the mourning theme.i.e A peaceful march to the ground calling a coffin- symbolic. With the date 6th october draped over it and the words - RBS do the right thing. In the coffin can be a larger flag wih the same message to be held on the kop. Also need to try and get the players to wear black ties instead of he new red tie that roy has introduced. And in the post match interview whichever players are being interviewed they should to be drapped in a black scarf. Understand this bit could be near impossible however some players are speaking out (Torres) more need too. Ex players should also be rallied. The simple things sometimes carry the most power. Everyone doing this will be symbolic and can not be missed. Might not be dead but this a predictive vision. RBS do the right thing.

Not just flags. Everyone wear black. No red. Black. Altenatively on the black flags could be red images, writing. This would be highly visable as well.

Just a question, I am sure that after the months of frustration and the actions that many are taking has any one contacted the forums and supports of the other teams/franchises that make up hicks sports empire. I have read about the frustration of his other teams and the need to fight this battle in the public arena to make hicks think twice. What if instead of one team taking a stand all of the supports that of the teams that are misrepresented take a stand. This would seriously undermine the floatation that has been mentioned as well as strenghtening the voice, which would result in further exposure and pressure on hicks. Has anyone done this?

Was just on of the main australian channels (ten) sports news that Lucas Neil was very close to securing a dream move to Liverpool. Most likely a rehash of the Australian article however does seem to be gaining a lot of momentum in presss over here. Not sure on how much playing time he'll get (or should get), at least it should mean more Liverpool games on TV over here.

We also have hammill from the ressie's if he steps up and possibly this morrocan kid. Not sure I would put andersen in the macmanaman style of play bracket. Would be great if pong and kromkamp go that we bring in Alves, RM and RM in one.

not to sure how he could have failed the medical with himplaying last weekend, surely if he was injured he would not have played in that match against crewe. Who risk aggrevating a injury when you want to get rid off a player???

sorry to bring alves in to this but as people have seemed to ahve forgetten that this a pennant thread thought I'd throw my 20p in. So....in other pages I have mentioned that I wanted a wide player, Pennant is this so am happy, but would of been if Alves had been signed as well. It will be down to tactics in the end Pennant offers more than we had last year, alves would have offered even more. If/When rafa wants SG to play RM then had he have signed alves (even if over priced) he would have been able to supply width with his overlapping from RB and attacking play. However now we have nearly signed pennant...we have the best defence RB in the league in Finnan, therefore this will afford JP more attacking freedom. What we will lack is a tactic to overwwhelm teams...Alves would have add this, him at Rb and SG/JP in front of him. Pennant will be a good option on the RM and is an improvement on the squad and options from last season. the cheaper signing will also hopefully allow us to sign another decent CF aswell. so another reason to select him over alves. Good luck to the lad and lets all trust that he puts as much effort in off and on the pitch as he has when indicated when saying that that he loves the club etc....I think the fact this is last chance and he is at the club he supports will only reinforce his effort...he can't afford to ***k up anymore. (Still hope we sign him alves and a decent striker) Maybe this will be rafa's summer suprise :-)

Shamelessy stolen from rawk but very amusing...and worth a listen. Some kid on bbc radio1 went to the new kit launch and asked reina xabi and gerrard some wierd questions. Click on latest show and forward it to the 40th minute (click 15mins twice and then the 5 mins twice, just incase anyone unsure, how patronising that sounds) http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/scottmills/ pictures at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/scottmills/gal...7/1/#gallery237

Its not about having options when you are adding the final piece. It is making sure you get the right one. The thing is people keep harping on that we have players that can play wide, true. but do we have the players that can add width and another angle of attack. Pennant and Alves are these types of players that would add width and different focuses to the attack. They look to get at players and then deliver. The players that we have and also Simao are more drifting RM players, think about the styles of each player and how they play when at RM. Kewell often cuts inside would do even more so if played at RM, can you remeber the last time he had the confidence to hit a shot with his right, also doesn't have the pace he once had. Although retains the possession very well, I think people often over look this about him. Garcia an enigma who can just as easily create a goal of the season as the gaff of the year. loves his littel tricks to much to be consistent. Although unprectability has it benefits as we know. Pongelle a forward who can play RM he looks to drifts inside, rarely see him beat the man and get the ball across from the by line. (i think we should offer him as a player and cash deal for pennant, brum need a striker after all) SG he can do what he wants hes that good, he is the best crossed and best one out of the menioned players and driving with power past a player and making something happen. Although RM is wasting his engine and ability... Simao reminds me of a cross of teh better bits of garcia and kewell when I have seen him, can be unprecitable but uses his flicks more inteligently than garica, and retains possession well. We also know he has a v good freekick in my eyes he is not what we need at the moment. If we sold kewell or garica then he would become a maybe though. Pennant looks to get the ball across early (to the danger area) with pace in a flatish style that defenders hate. Alves from what I have seen is more powerful and can scare players more although can cross early, accurately aswell. The power that alves has in his running style is what seperates him from pennant and why I think he is the number 1 option. With both though on the right alves behind pennant I still think we would scare the living Sh*t out of team from the right...

scaping the barrel but here's a new link according to Italian chip-wrapper Tuttosport, Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta is being touted around various Premiership clubs. Liverpool, Manchester City and Middlesbrough may all be interested. http://football.guardian.co.uk/rumourmill/ Great journolism.....

Then to flip the question around how would people feel if we only got one of the 3? If means we sign either a striker or a RM, then I would say we will have to be very lucky to win the league next season. Personally I'd be gutted if we only got one especially with the number of outgoing players and how close we are to being a true championship contender.

also in teh times about djimi, http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,27-2269578,00.html Hope this happens, adds some more money to the pot and also will hopefully give the player more time on the pitch. good luck to him, just 3 more to go - Jerzy Dudek, Salif Diao, Anthony Le Tallec and maybe pongelle and another surprise departure

just read somewhere from a link in newsnow that the injury should take 6-8 weeks to heal. If so no where near as bad as first thought What I would expect is the loan now and then the deal completed in Jan transfer window when fully recovered OR a deal that has additional cluases for playing time due to threat of re occurance again..

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?HLID=37...ball_Home&f=rss Aston Villa have confirmed that Milan Baros has got a 'release clause' in his contract but it can only be activated by a bid in excess of the £7 million they paid Liverpool for the forward.
