  1. Ultimately, another failure to build a league-winning squad. Just a fresh set of excuses for failing to spend money. As ever explained away by access journalists. Incompetence the only threat to neglect.
  2. Poor FSG. No one will take their money.
  3. If I were Virgil, I'd be trying to use his leverage to get more signings in, given their record. Might be the only way they pull their finger out.

  5. Suspect we'll be moving into full-blown moneyball mode post-Klopp, targeting the next generation of stars that don't need to be sold on who's in charge. A US-style general manager role is being introduced specifically to draw influence away from the head coach.
  6. Yeah, it's a trend. It doesn't bode well. Likely that collective exhaustion has again caught up with us.
  7. Leo's got a point there
  8. Obvs you can't assume these players perform to the same level once Klopp moves on.
  9. Superman Sr
  10. A sensible Quansah, surely
  11. I broadly agree, and he is a very good runner, but at 21 he could be seen as too green even for FSG.
  12. Don't think the bean counters would sanction it
  13. He's the greatest, he's fantastic. Wherever there is danger, he'll be there. Graven-berch. Graven-berch...
  14. Aye. As I said, I don't think that's what's happened, but FSG all of a sudden not being mingebags also feels unlikely. As for bad PR advice, who told Prince Andrew to say he can't sweat and is a massive fan of dough balls?
  15. Melts on X? Pearcey? TAW?
  16. To make it seem they are willing to spend big money - cack-handedly trying to address the biggest complaint against them - when they aren't. Bit Baldricky, granted, but these are the guys who had Jen Chang do their bidding.
  17. More likely than my theory above and than FSG ponying up £110m.
  18. Probably tin hat - not sure FSG could play Klopp like that, for one thing - but I couldn't rule it out. Feasible quid pro quo with Brighton. They get Chelsea to raise their bid; knowing MC wanted only to go to Chelsea, we show our fans there's money to spend (as they often hint at through their media mouthpieces). A massive PR own goal? Sure. But when's that stopped FSG before?
  19. Got any nugs, Elisha?
  20. Of all the people employed by the club bar Dalglish, no one exemplifies LFC more than Klopp, and there's no one within or outside the club better equipped to revive the team than he is. Let him get on with it and hope FSG ships out before the rot sets in.
  21. Smaller media outlets tread carefully around respective ownerships cos their insider status depends on it. Skews their coverage. Probably winds Klopp up.
