  1. He’s too big to be thrown.
  2. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/ You worry for them, you really do. The next few games will decide their fate I think, they’re currently 56% chance to go, let’s see how that changes over the next few weeks. They have Palace (a) Newcastle (h) and Leicester (a) and nothing from those three will probably be enough to see them off. Personally I think there are currently three teams as bad if not worse than them, who have horrible run ins which will probably save them.
  3. One rule for them, another for the players. Howard Webb, enough said.
  4. I’m regretting renewing my ST, almost clicked the season break. VAR has killed the game for match going fans, well for me at least, I don’t celebrate the goals now because of it, awaiting the inevitable forensic checks by officials and when that doesn’t come the moment has passed. The oil cheats ruined it, VAR killed it. if I carry on thinking about it I’ll end up phoning the club and transferring the ST to my son. I thought I was being optimistic about the Bellingham situation, the more I think about it the more I realise it’s pure apathy.
  5. I’ll leave it at this, you’re clearly in the tantrum stage.
  6. It’s hope, can’t imagine where they get that from. Oh hang on it’s part of the anthem isn’t it? Maybe we should replace it with ‘ah f@ck it, go home at half time’
  7. It’s not real, it’s just a TV show.
  8. You’d have to fight my son for it.
  9. Still not seeing any facts, sounds like you’re closer to denial than I am. At least I am prepared to accept it’s a dream and remain hopeful.
  10. You don’t have any facts to back this up, although I fear you are right. I’m choosing optimism because life is too short to get worked up about this. Maybe it’s easier for me because I could walk away from footy forever tomorrow, I could hand my season ticket back very easily. I’ve been slowly worn down like a lot of fans.
  11. F*cking fans coming onto a fans forum and trying to be optimistic in a negative world. Jebus wept.
  12. How long before some of our bigger names start asking to leave if investment in the squad is poor. Personally, I hope it’s just us trying to shut this down to save annoying Dortmund. I am choosing optimism until the window shuts. Rather be miserable for a day than be miserable for months.
  13. It’s also inaccurate, most of the ones i see are small and fat and rather dopey looking.
  14. I wouldn’t be a Lino for all the tea in China, I was nearly deafened on Sunday by the screaming at him from behind me. Not that he shouldn’t be banned for his reaction, he should. But what concerns me more is the shifting of the blame to Robbo and much like the Mascherano incident years ago, we are becoming the poster boys for ref official harassment. He swung his elbow at a player, I don’t like to see people lose their jobs but he’s clearly crossed a line there.
  15. I was in that line of work, besides I thought stereotyping was something frowned upon these days.

  17. Strip them of any trophies they won if they’re found guilty.
  18. There is no hope, beaten by the bottom teams I think four times this season and thumped 5-2 at home by these. I have some painting I need to do, so I can watch it dry later
  19. From the sublime to the ridiculous, do our players want everton relegated that much?
  20. Oliver Holt Being in that United line-up will be like a stain against your name. It will stay with you for the rest of your career. It’s the opposite of winning a medal. Not something to celebrate and keep in a frame or a case but something to try to wipe away. A lot of reputations are going to take an awfully long time to recover. It may be a while before anyone has the nerve to talk about Lisandro Martinez as ‘the butcher’ again. Butchers are supposed to be fearsome, right. Martinez was last seen being put on his backside by Mo Salah and bullied by Liverpool’s front three. oof
  21. Well they got all the decisions, while we got all the goals.
  22. I can only wish Bobby and his dazzling teeth all the best wherever he ends up.
  23. Jurgen Klopp has emphatically declared that he is at Liverpool for the long haul and ready to take the club to new heights in the future. The Reds have had a wretched campaign littered with performances unrecognisable from what they have delivered in seasons past along with a long list of injuries meaning that continuity has been severely lacking. In truth, Liverpool have battled to get going from the very start of the season only showing fleeting glimpses of their very best and their current position of tenth on the table is certainly a true reflection of their campaign to date. It was hoped that a unprecedented pause to the season due to the World Cup in Qatar would see a upturn in form, but if anything it has gone the other way with Liverpool collecting just one point from four league games in 2023. It has led to suggestions that Klopp has run out of ideas and has nothing left in the tank, an issue that led him to walk away from his last job at Borussia Dortmund. However Klopp said that this current situation is very different as the Mirror reported. “I will not go and I cannot go. “This situation is totally different for different reasons. At Mainz it was a career step as well, at Dortmund I was really exhausted in that moment. But I am neither nor, in this moment. Neither (career) nor exhausted. I am completely here, and I have too much responsibility (to leave) - and I want it. And I want to sort it again.” “Yes, it is a difficult time, I don’t enjoy it. But if people believe in me, then we have to go through this together because then when we come out we will have great times again." Anyone who has observed Klopp for a period of time knows how he wears the emotions on his sleeve and it is that kind of personality which feeds into the psyche of his players. But it is in the calmer and more reflective moments where Klopp believes good times will come again for this squad. “I am completely here, I am completely in this, 100 percent committed. Maybe the difficult times are a bit too long already, maybe for me as well, but I knew it would be a difficult season (after last year’s quadruple chase). “If we win I feel like I was part of it but if we lose I feel 100 percent responsible. I was always like this in my life, so you can imagine how big the responsibility is at the moment, and how I feel now. “And we will do absolutely everything to get through this and prepare the very positive future again. “I am really emotional after we lose a game, but apart from that I am completely clear and can do the job I always did. And I am experienced enough to know we can get through this.” But if there is one thing that Klopp cannot accept, it is any criticism of his backroom staff who do not have the platform to respond. “I just don't like it if you go for the wrong people - go for me, that's fine but don't go for other people. I get an awful lot of money to face these situations and my life is fine. “Don't criticise them (who can’t respond) - have the balls and go for me, then the confrontation can happen. If they were not helpful or inspirational (my staff) they would not be here. "I'm 100 percent clear on that. Nobody is here because they are my friend or whatever, it was never the case and never will be the case. They are here because they are best in class in what they are doing.”
