  1. Hodgson seems to be getting a lot of flack on here, underservedly so. Our last two 'big name' mangers, lets be honest, havent been a success overall. The likes of Dalglish, Paisley, Fagan, Shankly weren't exactly high profile managers at their previous respective clubs but won a lot of trophies at Liverpool. Hodgsons overall managerial record for the clubs he's been at had been impressive and the guy deserves a chance to prove himself at a big club.
  2. Dunga may be in the running. Contract up at end of World Cup. Rumours, if they're to be believed, that the new owners will not make a decision until mid-July may suggest that Dunga could be appointed after he wins the World Cup.
  3. Is it reasonable to assume that Purslow and co will sound out Capello for the Liverpool job? I think it would be major oversight if they didn't.
  4. Al-Hilal friendly away 17 july
  5. al nahyan i guess. Fair play to him. He must be mad
  6. If Roy Hodgson had a tan and looked happy, he'd be Manuel Pellegrini.
  7. Build a moat around Anfield with no drawbridge. We'll put that 'spade in the ground' afterall!
  8. I believe the board, on these discussions / talks, will make or break the club. My greatest fear is those with the current power are not football people, know nothing about football and do not have the interests of the club at heart. They must think long hard and make the right decision for the CLUB. Rafa should be supported not isolated. Or else it may be a case of 'It's all over, it's all about to begin'
  9. Agree, I think he would be a decent addition.
  10. I Never mentioned having 11 world class players. We have 4 players that are definite starting 11 quality, but the other positions need to be filled by players better than what we have. Kuyt is too slow to be a right side midfielder / winger. His lack of pace continuously break up the momentum of our attacking play and frankly he's just not good enough. Yossi is too hot and cold. Gives the ball away more often not than not. If we got £6m for him, i'd grab it. Maxi's best days are behind him. Has done ok but hasn't exactly lit up the premiership.
  11. Reina, Gerrard, Masch, Torres poisitions are solid. We need new players in every other position to be brutally honest for this team to win the league. Too many people on here wearing blinkers. All other players are NOT GOOD ENOUGH for first 11! Perhaps, Aquilani, Johnson and Agger should be kept as squad players.
  12. Sit down, relax and have a mug of coffee with a digestive..
  13. The next three months are the most important for the future developments of the club. It would be interesting to know what fans thought now, what they believe the state of the club will be before season 2010/11 kicks off. For instance, will Stevie G be our captain? Who will be our number 9? Who will be the owners of LFC be? Will Rafa be the Gaffer? Will we have a new chairman?..
  14. Nando is obviously quality, and I would love to keep him here. But, hypothetically speaking, and considering the state our squad is in, would it make sense to sell him for £60m and sign three £20m pound players?
  15. All things considered, Babel isn't the full shilling, is he?
  16. Any straight thinking, unbiased football supporter would not have us in the top 5, let alone the top 4. We're fooked
  17. We need new owners who are prepared to invest immediately in the club (players and new stadium). I would be prepared to give Rafa one more year. But how much cash do you give a manager who may need to be sacked in 12 months time? So in saying that, I think it's best to start afresh and get a new manager in. I'd go for Mourinho or Hodgson. I'd keep 7 players. Reina, Carragher (sub), Agger, Aquilani (needs more time), Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres. The rest are not good enough to win a league title.
  18. It's not about who should / will go, but more so who should stay.. The following should stay for different reasons. Gerrard Torres Reina Carragher Aquilani Agger Johnson Mascherano The rest should be made available for transfer as they are simply not good enough to bring the Premiership to Anfield
  19. he's well regarded. turned down AC Milan apparently
  20. Rafa won't go anywhere. He's playing games and taking the spotlight from the team. He's honourable
  21. Full support should be the case for every game, not just Wednesday. Sadly, I think it's been lacking of late.
  22. There's not one player on the finishing 11 with enough quality to play for LFC
  23. we need a mega mega snow storm
  24. The problem with YB is that he treats each game as if its a training session. When it works it looks impressive when it doesn't it's absolute gash
