  3. Moving swiftly on...whats all this I hear of a takeover or something?
  4. You guys make a great team. Respect.
  5. Just wondering if this 'seven days mourning', has anything to do with the non-event statement.

  7. There's 4 of them down the boozer. One has gone for a pi$$, the other's havin' a smoke and the others at the bar. So, the other one, on his todd, says, "What'll i do?, I know, I'll send out a club statement via me mobile..''
  8. not sure if this has been posted before.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/liverpool/7935763/Liverpool-hope-two-serious-takeover-offers-will-be-tabled.html
  9. i reckon Kirdi is full of it. nothing will be signed by weekend
  10. It could be a very busy week (Tuesday onwards me thinks) with all sorts of bids / statements / press conferences hitting the headlines. Time will tell who the spoofers are and which bidder(s) are serious prospective owners of the club. Wonder what garbage G and H will come out with.
  11. We'll be lookin' up alright! I respect your enthusiasm, but I'm just trying to be realistic. Can't see much, if any, improvement. This could all change of course if the takeover gets rushed through and RH gets a few quid to spend.
  12. I don't know how you can screw up a whole season. You might screw up 2 or 3 games but not an entire season. Stevie G had his eye on the world cup from last Septembet in my opinion, and at the age of 30 he's just past his best and cant see him recreating any of his previous form. We finished 7 points behind Spurs last season, so they finished well clear of us. As for City, they have a better abd bigger squad and expect them to finish above us. We finished 7th because thats what we deserved and we were the 7th best team in the league. I think we'll marginally have a better season. We'll still give away silly points again this season at home and loose to less than average teams away.
  13. Why would people be confident. Joe Cole isn't going to get us into top 4, and Masch is on way out. 1.Chelski 2.Mancs 3.s***y 4.The Ar$3 5.Super Reds 6.Spurs
  14. It's all over it's all about to begin Would like to think, the cheaper Huang pays for the club, the more he'll put into it i.e Player purchases, New stadium etc. Bye Bye Yanks!
  15. We're going to win the league.
  16. thats shockin. go to bed
  17. Has Hodgson been offered a two year or three year contract?
  18. You can still back the manger and repel against the owners at the one time. Thats a totally different argument
  19. Will you stop the rubbish about 'most successful club'. Right now, we're not massive. People need to start realising we're on the slippery slope. The current owners havent gone as far as I can see. These are the facts. Money isn't there to get a 'big name'. Just like every other manger we're had, Hodgson will get my full support. He deserves the backing from every fan. The last thing we need is a manager mutiny. People can talk all they like that he's won nothing. We'll continue to win nothing as long as the current regime is in place. Let the 'suits' get on with selling the club and let the fans back the manager whoever he is.
  20. http://www.fulham-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/hodgson_may_resign_to_fasttrack_job_at_anfield_534144/index.shtml
  21. You're missing the point. You're lookin for a manger that has achieved and been successful. That doesn't neccessarily mean they're going to be successful at Liverpool. The big mangers, like Jose M, need money to be successful and we have no dollars. Capello won loads at club level but whats he done at the World Cup. What had Weneger won before arsenal? We're a club on the down right now, just like some of the clubs that Hodgson took over and did a good job
  22. Wrong. We're talking about managerial appointments and not the status of the club. Hodgson had done very well for what he's been dealt. As did Shankly. And, I'm not quite sure we're a 'massive' cub right now.
  23. Wonder what you would have said when Shankly signed after managing Carlisle, Grimsby, Workington? and Huddersfield? and the great success he had these clubs..'convinced'? So weren't a fan of Shankly I take it before he managed Liverpool. 'Achieved' nothing..
  24. He's won numerous trophies in Finland and Denmark. Got the Swiss to the last 16 in the world cup first time ever, got Inter to UEFA cup final after rebuliding side from scratch, took over Vikingin Norway who were in relegation zone and finished in UEFA cup spot. got Fulham to 7th spot first time ever and got Fulham to UEFA Cup final this year. And thos is only some of what he's done. And you say he's 'achieved nothing'..
