  1. As promising as Ibe looks, I don't think he has that same 'top 3 in the world' potential that Sterling has. It's not a bad discussion to have though, which of our teenage english attacking players is going to be the biggest world beater
  2. Where's Albero? Brad Smith looks promising.
  3. No I agree. Especially since we already have Ilori who it will be hard enough to find games for.
  4. For someone who hasn't really watched England since the Euros, what kind of starting XI do you expect to see?
  5. I know Madrid are a bit mad and all, but surely playing Luis and Ronaldo next to each other would be rather risky. Ronaldo has already been complaining this season when Bale has taken shots or free kicks away from him. Think Aguero would make more sense for the way they play if they're looking to replace Benzema (which I don't think is necessary at all, great player).
  6. A bit early to judge the current regime on that though tbf.

    Raheem Sterling

Agree with this. It's a formation that suits us quite well but there's a reason not many teams use it. I'm all for us using it every now and again but we need to mix it up. If we manage to bring in proper attacking fullbacks it could be a different story however...
  8. I used to love Masch but really can't see a place for him in the team. As a 5'9 CB, in England? Replacement for Lucas as backup to Stevie? Change formation and abandon our pressing game?
  9. Seedings depend on performance in europe last 5 years, they have just been great last two years really.
  10. I don't think you necessarily need winning experience as much as experience of genuinly competing, in which we gained a lot this season.

    Raheem Sterling

Baffles me that the english media is not hyping him up more. With Sturridge's form dropping off a bit last few weeks Raheem is by far best player in the team and one of the potential stars of the tournament. Can see oppositions under-estimating him as well initially, giving him a bit extra space to play (except againt Uruguay as Luis will surely have a word with his coach!)
  12. His scoring recors must be put in context to the fact that Sunderland create f*** all chances as well. I'd say keep him for a year as an impact striker unless we get a big offer.
  13. Can't help but think Müller is very overrated.
  14. Has only started one game all season.
  15. Watching Zabaleta and Kolarov for City last night, I'd be tempted to go all out for two new fullbacks. Then add a midfielder and an attacking player to that.
  16. PSG booed off the pitch at half time, 2-1 down at home to Rennes. They won the league 5 mins before kick off...
  17. The same Sagna who has offers on the table from Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea?
  18. The fact that half of them managed to not vote for Luis says all you need to know of a big part of the national media. Just like voting for Parker did.

    Steven Gerrard

Play Allen instead and they can take turns going forward.
  20. We weren't supposed to be able to win 11 on the bounce either.
  21. Barkley + loan players the only ones who wanted to win. Baines and Howard embarrassing.
  22. Precisely. It works both ways as well. For those of us following LFC from afar, you have the chance to switch of the tv after the game, stay off the forums, stay away from the handful of people you know who share your interest, and try and get on with your life thinking about other things. Living in Liverpool, being at the games, surrounded by people engaged in football every day, I imagine it's always more on your mind and harder to detatch from. A season like this though, every thing is flipped on its head and works in reverse. I have to go to work hearing people discuss the bloody swedish league instead of the latest win for the tricky reds!
  23. I want Dortmund. Two big parties between the best sets of supporters around.
  24. While I'm at it. We're currently ranked 32nd: 1....FC Barcelona.....................157.056 2....FC Bayern München...........154.328 3....Real Madrid CF..................154.056 4....Chelsea FC.......................139.921 5....Manchester United FC........128.921 6....SL Benfica.........................124.293 7....Club Atlético de Madrid.......115.056 8....Valencia CF.......................113.056 9....Arsenal FC........................112.921 10..FC Porto............................105.293 32..Liverpool FC.......................58.921 With the majority of our points (24.585) coming from the 09/10 season which will count for the last time for the upcoming draw, so no matter what it will take a few years for us to move back up the ranking.
  25. Giving it a quick look, as things stand seeding pots should be something like this: Pot 1 Barcelona Bayern Real Madrid Chelsea Benfica Atletico (Arsenal) Porto Pot 2 Schalke Dortmund PSG Juventus Shakhtar Basel Zenit Man City If Arsenal fail to make it there's still a number of teams that would move into pot 2 ahead of us (Leverkusen/Olympiacos/Ajax/Napoli for example) so it seems se are in pot 3 no matter what happens.
