I haven’t seen us play like we did first half of the season, for a while. whether it’s not finishing chances, not creating enough, passing it backwards when we chasing a game, whatever it is. We haven’t had a ‘big’ performance in a while. We’ve had moments. PSG at home we had moments. But couldn’t finish. we’ve done amazingly well to be where we are and it’s amazing to know 20 is in the horizon and we can enjoy our run in and focus just on that. The run in, is to appreciate what these lads have done and thank them. A lot of them won’t be here next season and shouldn’t be. we’ve always said strengthen from strength. It’s what we need to and will do.

I’m confident we’ll be active in the market, like we all are. Of course they’ll be gaps though. No squad is perfect. i can’t see us selling Elliott if he wants to stay. With Nunez, Diaz, jota, kelleher - that’s enough sales to cover purchases of approx 250m in the summer. the accountant in me says we’ll sell him next summer.

Some things to sort out: - corners. Either fix them, or play them short and build from there. Causing ourselves issues believing we can do something and wasting Virgil and konate energy getting up and down. - same with free kicks. If we can’t do anything with them, stop wasting time, and take them quickly, maybe catch the opposition off guard. - throw ins - ever since we had that throw in coach we take 30-40 seconds for a throw in. And get nothing for it. - passing around at the back. Looks like a style of play we have to get used to. So train the lads to do it properly and let them boot it when needed. - we look like a team in transition. Some players don’t want to be here, some want to be but won’t be. I don’t give a s***. We have a title to win. If you aren’t a 100% on it, sub at half time. Stop messing about with my stroll to the title. - the difference between Kweeve and Ali is stark. How the lad coming in is closer to Ali.

The big takeaway is, players should be playing for a shirt next season. Or playing for a move. Or playing for a contract. And they are not. it’s mentality. The players need to see the title, and have the mentality to stay focused on the task. Maybe the muscle memory of a title run isn’t there?
