Should have been Salahs night, just like Newcastle, still gutted and they both feel like losses
Diaz just can't effectively play central like that, and even though he struggles with consistency even in his preferred position I think he stays if Salah goes, and Slot will demand money for a proper striker...obviously Nunez is out the door
As expected they dragged us, we were not enough on it to put them down. This was how it was most likely to go, the draw. Gutted to f***, Salah should be the story
Based on nothing but gut feeling I think
Salah and Trent will go
Virg and Ibou will sign, Diaz will stay...we sell Nunez and Elliot
We buy LB and an attacker for big money.. and a cheaper prospect for midfield
That was such a cowardly spineless performance from city, Arsenal weren't even that good just wanted it and ran more.
City are definitely finished as a contender this season but you can bet they raise their game against us from sheer muscle memory
Ars much better pressing game but not much creativity...City seem useless and don't deserve anything from this but let's hope they spawn a jammy equaliser then they proceed to kick the s***e out of eachother till full time
Agree
In the alternative universe where Zubimendi didn't fanny out of signing for us the question is - would we be better equipped to win the league?
The answer might be complicated by how both him and Grav are accommodated by Slot, but apart from that it's a a resounding yes, has to be
So we're losing all our players, nobody will sign for us, and even if they wanted to Hughes is too incompetent to do it and FSG wouldn't give him the money if he could
Bummer thread
Surely there's a sane Arsenal supporter somewhere who can acknowledge the extraordinary luck they had last year with lack of injuries to their key players, and muse bitterly that this is the kind of luck you need to beat juiced up City and they still couldn't do it
But it's probably easier to have an aneurism about biased cheating refs favouring their rivals
That's always been my fear about this, that the geopolitics will roll over every other consideration including cheating in sports/football financial justice. The war machine won't be stopped
Same corner every time though, that's not great. Should be trying short corners, mix it up...these have the best set piece defence record in the league
I fancy us to beat city, and do arsenal at home too
It's the low block, smash and grab, score with the one shot on target, keeper and defenders have worldies, we hit woodwork multiple times, best chances fall to Darwin kinda teams I fear
I love Diaz but he's not in better form than Gakpo at the moment
Diaz is not as effective through the middle though, there's that in his defence. Still Gakpo looks more on it and a bigger goal threat at the minute so if you're dropping one of them to accommodate Jota it's Lucho
