To spend the amount of money he has and then give the players brought in barely any playing time is unforgivable. £25m Adam Lallana couldn't get on the pitch last night when we were struggling to even keep the ball in their half. Either he sees these players in training and decides they're not up to it OR he really is having players that he doesn't want bought for him. If its the former he and his scouting team are clearly no good at spotting a player. If its the latter then it doesnt matter who the manager is, we're f*cked.

This is it. Its horrible to think it and feels worse to say it, but we have to start looking at him no longer being the first name on the team sheet. Also, the gap between midfield and defence is never right. Half the time we're too deep, with Gerrard sitting on top of the centre-halves forcing Hendo/Allen/Coutinho/Sterling to drop deep to get the ball, negating some of our attacking threat whilst also inviting pressure from the opposition. The rest of the time, when we're in the attacking third, the gap is too big, which leaves us vulnerable to counter attacks with pace. We need to find the right balance and I'm not sure how we do that with the current personnel.

The back four are getting ZERO protection. Gerrard either plays higher up the pitch or not at all, he's becoming a passenger in that deep midfield role.

This, absolutely this. He's been sh*te, but he's not the only one.
