  1. how high did he leap for the header, his feet where about 4-5ft off the ground. I think he was a gymnast as a kid, goes to show, because hes only a small guy but the leap was incredible
  2. is there any Barcelona player interviews from after the match? Id love to hear what they had to say.
  3. very hard to give it to just one man, but if my arm was twisted, id say Trent. But special mention for Fabinho, he was immense!!!
  4. simply amazing. Not a bad performance all round, every one to a man, Becker, Matip, Van Dijk, Trent, Fabinho. The list is endless, my stand out, and thats if i can actually say that would be Fabinho and Trent, how Fabinho went 80 minutes or som against those diving buggers while on a yellow beggars belief, and as for Trent, that vision and quick thinking with the corner was un-f***ing-believable. If Messi did that we'd never hear the bloody end it. So pleased, i literally couldnt be happier tonight. YNWA
  5. All very fair points. I just hope we can keep our group together now. That really will be the hardest part I just hope some of our lads don't start thinking. "if you can't beat them, join them" Because I remember back in 05 our captain nearly did it, after winning the champions league.....
  6. No issue with Suarez last night. The guy is a ruthless b*****d. Exactly what you need in the nitty gritty games. I thought he was their best player for the most parts of the match, and he was right to celebrate his goal to.
  7. i actually thought Messi fouled Fabinho. But f*** me that was some strike
  8. 2nd goal was pure and utter luck and their 3rd was a foul on Fabinho. f*** me what a strike though, simply amazing. Hard to fathom how we didn't score. I'm not being overly pessimistic when I say I think the tie is unwinnable now, scoring 3 and keeping them from scoring is too much of an ask. So we're really hoping to hit 5 past them. I can't see that happening My worst fears of going from chasing a double to now being trophy less are about to come through. What a kick in the balls that is
  9. i was out with my young lad down in a shopping centre when the city match was on and genuinely forgot all about it, until the sky tv stand where showing the game, naturally i saw the half time score and stupidly started to dream. for the following hour i tried to tell myself, every second not to think about it, yet its all i could think of. Then when i did check the score when the game was over, although i got the expectant disappointment, my heart absolutely sunk. Im f***ing gutted they keep winning, gutted they're not playing so well that they're demolishing teams, and im gutted that it seems no other teams even seem to want to have a go at them. I think against Leicester that Rogers will have his team attacking, but it will just play into city's hands and they'll end up walloping Leicester. Im still finding it hard to fathom that we can end the season on 97 points, be in the semi's of the champions league, yet we can walk away empty handed. It beggars belief,
  10. When looking at the fixtures, you do tend to think. "oh, they could slip up there". But the f***s just keep grinding them out. They get their early goal then its business as usual. I'm probably being overly negative due to years of falling at the final hurdle. But I just can't see how the worst man utd team, in my living memory can get something off them. Utd really are that bad, and unfortunately city really are that good. It's a crying shame that we could possibly finish a season with 1 defeat and over 90 points and still not win the league. Imagine the odds of that.
  11. Hoping that the worst utd team in living memory take something against these lot is really clutching at straws. But it was never going to be easy
  12. In fairness, in real time I thought it was a dive, so can sympathise with the referee a bit.
  13. Is that true?
  14. I swear watching this team will reduce my life expectancy by a few years.
  15. Henderson has given the ball away far too often for my liking. Besides that, we've been just the better side. Not by much mind,
  16. He's had 2 majorish injuries of note Knee ligaments, which happened in training, and now this broken leg. I dont think either is avoidable really. Doesnt nearly every footballer have their ligaments go at some stage of their career these days? But i would worry if he started picking up those silly muscle injuries that Lovren constantly gets. I hope for him ,and for us that his inuries so far have just been bad luck, and not just a precursor to the rest of his career. Fingers crossed anyway, because the guy really has the capabilities to be a very special player.
  17. Now that's an away day to crave. Amsterdam, just imagine the craic to be had there.....
  18. Couldn't give a flying f*** who we get. You don't get these trophies handed to you, so may as well smack someone decent in the next round. I'd love to see utd and City get juve and barca. Just to see both of those c**** go out. But really I'm not fussed. I'd fancy our chances against anyone. I'd imagine we're joined favourites with city and barca?
  19. Yeah, a work therapist in the local dole office. That lad isn't cut out for a career in football.
  20. He's a hider, Even that break just now where mane put Robertson through. Keita could have busted a gut to join the move. But he didn't bother.
  21. How could anyone say no to bringing coutinho back? The guy was excellent for us. Ok, he left us midseason, which obviously wasn't ideal. But in fairness to him he gave his all every time he put the shirt on. Besides, imagine seeing him lining out for them Manc rats. It would be like watching your missus getting gang banged
  22. I'm 37 and I can safely say Van dijk is easily the best centre half I've personally seen pat for us. He's like a taller Paul Mcgrath. I do believe that Joe Gomez can reach the same level as van dijk. I thought his early season form was outstanding. He didn't look at all beneath van dijks standard. If anything, he often out performed the big Dutch man
