  1. Koomkramp definitely MOM in my humble opinion. Anyone else notice at least the two b0ll0ckings he directed at Cisse for lack of movement/making the wrong run. A sign of his growing confidence?
  2. To clarity the point about the Police escort, the ambulance was waiting for a while for the Police before being told to go without any escort. As far as I can gather, the Police initially promised/the usual practice is for an escort, before they then backtracked, with no actual reason/explanation being given. It would indeed be ironic if the Police felt unable to provide an escort for Smith because they were dealing with the Manc element who attempted to break their way out of Anfield (one aspect of Saturday which appears to have gone unmentioned in the Press - quelle surprise. When was the last time you saw numerous Police Officers, batons drawn, inside Anfield?). To be fair to the Bizzies though, if you had to deploy a limited number of Officers quickly, you would probably odds that letting the ambulance go was an obvious way of leaving you with more to deal with what was clearly going to be a serious Public Order situation around Anfield. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and I don't believe anybody would have foreseen an ambulance getting attacked.
  3. Where would the ambulance be going such that it would go past the King Harry and then the Royal Oak? Doesn't make sense, does it?
  4. Alas, this whole story is true (Source = Cousin's wifes Dad, who is a paramedic and was on duty at the match. His mate drove the ambulance). The ironic thing is that the Police wouldn't provide an escort for the ambulance because of the big mob waiting for the Mancs at The King Harry, and it was part of this mob who did the ambulance. The ambulance is that badly wrecked it's off the road now. Took us back to the 1980s in so many ways, I think, last Saturday.
  5. Desperately seeking a positive: Can you imagine just how scary Momo would look with Edgar Davids style goggles? Would frighten other midfielders to death.
  6. For the final time, he deserves everything he gets, in fact a lot more than a £5k fine, not for celebrating the goal, but the fact that he chose not to celebrate with his team mates, nor the 64,000 Mancs in the crowd, but that he ran 60 yards to deliberately celebrate in front of the 3,500 Liverpool fans - less than 5% of the crowd - and he makes all that effort to taunt us. That is deliberate, calculated and thought-through provocation, pure and simple.
  7. I was just awaiting the first reference to Geoff Nulty....part of the Everton 'Holy Trinity' of injustices, that also includes Clive Thomas & Heysel. Oh, and not forgetting Alan Hansen's 'handball'. Forgotten anything? Drunken's disallowed goal from Westerveld's kick?
  8. I like the way they describe that he was sent off for 'returning' a pound coin at Highbury..!
  9. Anybody else got/getting tickets for the Ingerland game, just to extend that hand of friendship one extra time to Mr. G. Neville?
  10. Certainly The Irregulars/LASC claim it as theirs, and were well into it under Houllier (I remember the Birmingham away game, 3:0, where the coach was bouncing to it on the way back).

  12. Ok, so we are faced with opponents with an unlimited budget, who can afford to spend £24m on Drogba, £19m on a centre-half and £13m on a right back. We all know that, with those resources, Rafa would win us the World Cup. But we know that we don't and won't have those resources. So what can we, the fans, do? I have been unimpressed by the reaction of the national (especially broadsheet)Press to Chelsea. What articles that have been written always talk up the organisational skills of Mourinho, with heavy emphasis on 'it's not just the money, you know'. Of course, it might just be that the Abramovich money has also bought the acquiescence of the Press too.. Here, though, is where I think that we can start to dictate the agenda. There is a great deal of unease/mistrust amongst the public as to where and how Abramovich acquired his millions, and the effect it has had on his homeland, and we need to play on that. We also need to let Mourinho know that, great coach that he is (regardless of his ego), he will NEVER get, indeed CANNOT get, the respect that he so obviously craves whilst he is there. Quite rightly, our banners are famed throughout the world (Henry WINTER in the Telegraph can't write an article about us without mentioning them). It is time now to turn them fully on to Chelsea, in a way that hopefully will mess with their heads: e.g. I'm thinking of a banner of the Bond villain's Blofelts big, fat white pampered cat, being stroked by a hand with the face unseen, with Mourinho's face super-imposed over the cats, and the legend :'And yet he asks for respect?' or from the Bible, Book of Proverbs, 'Ill gotten monies soon disappear' or 'In Russia they starve and eat horses, just so Terry gets to drive faster Porsches'. That kind of idea, anyway. We need to up the ante on the dubious origins of Chelsea's fortunes (no pun intended), do all we can to tell them that they will never be respected for any achievements they make. We know we get under Mourinho's skin, now we need to work on that.
  13. The Daily Post reports that Nurses at Alder Hey today found 5 sick kids trying to leave the hospital alone in the early hours. When questioned they said they were on their way to Goodison to cheer up the players...
  14. NYR, Based on no insider knowledge whatsoever, and given that you yourself admit that you were not privy to the innermost circle (viz. you were not aware that Kraft Jnr was over in Liverpool) is it not possible that the deal could have been resurrected without your knowledge? Surely it seems a case of the Krafts deeming it to not be value for money at the given price that David Moores chooses to sell, so if that price were to be lowered everything would be reevaluated? Just a thought.
  15. Gerrard,Momo,Case,Smith,Souness,Joey Jones It's going to be a battle out there...
